I am nurturing, vulnerable, and sardonic
I have a wonderful cat who "chose" me by coming to my backyard half-dead. I set out food for her and she slowly became healthy. After a few months she decided I was "her" property. 2 1/2 years later, she is in full control of our little household. As it should be whenever a cat is around. :-)
Every Sunday night I play poker with a group of friends -- not for money -- but we're thinking of betting services soon. Our game is a variation of "Texas Hold 'Em." We just changed it slightly and renamed it "Fizzbin Hold 'Em." You'd need to know Star Trek: TOS to understand the Fizzbin.
Books: Just the small top shelf of one of the bookcases - "The Strange One" by Fred Bodsworth, "Mandala" by Pearl S. Buck, "Tropic of Cancer" by Henry Miller, ""Lady Chatterley's Lover" by D.H. Lawrence; "Dream of a Common Language" by Adrienne Rich, "Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll, "The Chronicles of Narnia" (in the correct, original order), by C.S. Lewis, "The Four Quartets" (not a book but the best poem by T.S. Eliot).
Music: Jazz, classical, folk, rock n roll from the 70's, big band, especially Frank Sinatra's '50's and '60's studio work for Capitol Records. Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings," Conrad Gozzo's "Trumpeter's Prayer.
TV Shows (from the past): All of the Star Trek incarnations except for "Deep Space Nine," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Angel," "Wings."
That Angelus is *much* sexier than Angel.
How has the Christian right been able to erode the separation of church and state.
