My self-summary
I have a dark sense of humor but a fairly sunny disposition. I live a charmed life. I have never had a full time job in my life and yet I am completely debt free, have a house that is 100% paid for in the gold coast area of Alameda Island and have over 100 grand in the bank. I normally leave out that stuff about about financial status because no one wants to attract a mate by waving around money and I live a fairly simple life and I'm not looking to be anyone's sugar daddy but I mention it because one might get the impression that I'm half a hobo if you read the portion of my profile that talks about what I do for a living.

I love to spend time with the people I care about that's my main joy and in no small part what has driven me to always want to work jobs with flexible schedules that allow me to be free when I want to be to go on random little adventures. I like to go on long walks, I try to walk along the beach at least once a day. I dig Disneyland and I know it's dumb. I don't believe in fate or religion but I do believe I'm luckier than most people and have found a lot of wisdom in Buddhism even though I am not a Buddhist. I don't believe in an afterlife. This is my life and I'm trying to make the most of it as I don't think we get a do over.

I received my MFA at the California College of Arts and Crafts in the field of Jewelry and metal working and some of my jewelry work is in the collection of the Oakland Museum and other places and that's cool but I don't do too much jewelry work these days my art is more ephemeral.

I also work part time at a San Francisco auction house and teach art to children K through 8th grade at a private art and music school in Mountain View so I deal with the children of the Google and Facebook employees. The children there seem to be in love with the illuminati and incorporate the masonic all seeing eye into the artwork they make.

I also buy and sell art and antiques. I really love doing that. In this age of easy information and eBay and the Antiques Roadshow hipping people to the value of old junk there are still treasures to be found. My favorite items are the odd, strange things. I love to mix all sorts of eras together. On my desk as I write this I have a 17th century Bishops reliquary ring with a human toe bone in it next to a 19th century porcelain souvenir figurine of the famous conjoined twins Chang and Eng and that is next to a late 1970s sterling silver yoyo and that is above a small framed 2012 watercolor of a woman with a blue face and that is next to an interesting piece of lead I found on the ground next to a telephone pole the other day. I think my cluttered desk top is a good analogy of myself a Frankenstein quilt of all sorts.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm focused on doing things that being me joy and trying to increase my circle of friends. I keep reading things that say once you are out of your twenties it is common to have fewer and fewer new friendships which sounds true and depressing.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh and collecting the strange and unusual...people and objects. Also I write good handwritten letters. A good letter really requires some effort so I understand why people just text instead but it really isn't the same thing at all is it?
The first things people usually notice about me
I would say my sense of humor but one good friend of mine said she approached me because she liked my shoes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books...Alain de Botton "How Proust Can Change Your Life" & "The Art of Travel" anything by David or Amy Sedaris.Douglas Coupland, Douglas Preston & Lincon Child....
Movies, Everything by Wes Anderson, My Dinner with Andre, Withnail and I, BladeRunner, Action, Adventure, Horror, Comedy, Drama I like wide variety things.
Food I love Italian best but will try most everything except I dislike Vietnamese cooking.
Six things I could never do without
As an artist and a collector I feel like I covet objects more than the average person and yet working at an auction house has taught me that there is always more to covet. So I'm going to cheat this question a little and say that my friends and family are most important to me and all else can be replaced.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My friends and how easy it is to meet all sorts of wonderful people when you are in school and if you are lucky you can hold on to some of them. But eventually they all go spinning off into their own orbits moving away for family or career reasons. I think it's a little sad that internet sites like this one have become the way people meet one other but I suppose if it helps you meet even one cool friend then it's a good thing.
On a typical Friday night I am
Most likely at home watching something on Netflix but occasionally out at a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a heterosexual male and I like hats and two tone shoes. Don't judge me.
