But quite honestly, how can one summarize oneself in a nice neat little paragraph? Perhaps I should add something about where I've been - top of Uluru in Australia, swimming in the azure seas of Tahiti, riding a horse in The Cotswald countryside of England, walking cobblestone hills of Vico Morcote, wine tasting in Lecce...does where you've been describe who you are? I think the way you travel does reveal something about your personality. Wanting to explore off the beaten path, dine with the locals and not the tourists, experience the wine, food, culture as seen through friends who live there..
Wine, arts, nature, beach, music concerts...so much to see and do here. I love the ragged hillside and natural beauty of Big Sur, Carmel by the Sea, Marin, and the vineyards of Napa and Santa Cruz mountains. But I also think there's beauty in design, architecture..I felt it all around me in Manhattan looking up at the tall monolithic buildings and every time I was traversing one of the iconic bridges or staring off at them from afar - really magical. I guess I'd say I enjoy both the urban city environment as well as the natural outdoors - there's beauty and a different type of inspiration to find in each one of those settings.
I'm a bit of a news junkie - NPR born and bred. I watch CNN, MSNBC, respect the NYT and Washington Post, enjoy John Oliver and lean left politically. I'm also fond of TED Talks, podcasts, The Hidden Brain, Radio Lab, Fresh Air, and many more.
When it comes to love and romance, I think there needs to be some sense of shared interests for two people to have that initial connection. But I also believe that one can learn and grow from your partner's interests and passions in life -- you don't have to be mirror images of each other to make it work, more complementary partners. It's about a shared outlook on life - a youthful exuberant positive outlook that means living in the moment and making life come to you! And of course, there needs to be chemistry...
I think you know almost immediately if there's potential with someone. "Sometimes it's just taking a person's hand and it's like .... "magic."

Enjoy reading about, seeing, and experiencing architecture: from the antiquities of Europe to mid-century modern (case houses) to Arts & Craft (Greene & Greene) to Frank Lloyd Wright and Olmstead landscapers (Central Park)...
Food: I've been vegetarian for many years but this doesn't mean I only eat veggies! Enjoy wide variety of ethnic cuisines - enjoy eating and cooking organic..though fall back favorite combo would be a glass of Prosecco, black olives, cheese and a baguette -- even better if having these in a small cafe in France or Italy - though lately I prefer Reds...
Love and passion
My 2 cats (that's more than 6 but c'mon...)
Also, does anyone really read this far down in one's profile?
