But quite honestly, how can one summarize oneself in a nice neat little paragraph? Perhaps I should add something about where I've been - top of Uluru in Australia, swimming in the azure seas of Tahiti, riding a horse in The Cotswolds countryside of England, walking cobblestone hills of Vico Morcote, wine tasting in Lecce...does where you've been describe who you are? I think the way you travel does reveal something about your personality. Wanting to explore off the beaten path, dine with the locals and not the tourists, experience the wine, food, culture as seen through friends who live there..
I'm drawn both to outdoor natural landscapes as well as the cultural stimulation of big cities. I'm happy staring up at the stars you can only truly see away from the city, yet I've always been inspired by man-made design and architectural structures and bridges. I love Cape Cod beaches as much as the California Coast and Southern Italy, and two of my favorite outdoor spaces are still Yosemite and NY's Central Park.
I'm a bit of a news junkie - NPR born and bred. I watch MSNBC, CNN, respect the NYT and Washington Post, enjoy John Oliver, SNL, and lean left politically. I'm also fond of many podcasts including NPR's TED Radio Hour, Modern Love, The Hidden Brain, Radio Lab, Fresh Air, and many more.
When it comes to love and romance, I think there needs to be some sense of shared interests for two people to have that initial connection. But I also believe that one can learn and grow from your partner's interests and passions in life -- you don't have to be mirror images of each other to make it work, more complementary partners. It's about a shared outlook on life - a youthful exuberant positive outlook that means living in the moment and making life come to you! And of course, there needs to be chemistry...
I think you know almost immediately if there's potential with someone. "Sometimes it's just taking a person's hand and it's like .... "magic."
going after what I think is important

Food: I've been vegetarian for many years but this doesn't mean I only eat veggies! Enjoy wide variety of ethnic cuisines - enjoy eating and cooking organic..though fall back favorite combo would be a glass of red or Prosecco, black olives, cheese and a baguette -- even better if having these in a small cafe in France or Italy . Oh and really dark chocolate : )

Also, does anyone really read this far down in one's profile?
