My self-summary
I make super8 Star Trek stop motion movies.
What I’m doing with my life
I teach fifth grade. According to one of my students I am his "pettiest teacher." So either he forgot a letter or he knows me really well.

We recently started learning basic chemistry and the kids created a molecule for me. My atoms were kindness, awesomeness, calmness, fun, and forgetfulness. They all got As.

I also have a rescue pig named Lucas. Ask about him!

Pig update: Lucas has, unfortunately, passed away. So maybe don't ask about him. I'm still pretty bummed. But you can ask about my new pig, Reggie!
I’m really good at
Trivia, guns.
The first things people usually notice about me
Recently I was on a plane responding to some letters my students had written to me. The man sitting next to me said, in all seriousness, "I always wondered what kind of women wrote to inmates." So apparently that's a thing people do, and I look like the kind of person who does it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Firefly.
The six things I could never do without
Whiskey
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Safewords.
On a typical Friday night I am
Trying to find ways to make my dog cuddle with me. She's growing up and getting so independent these days!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My dad has, on occasion, served roadkill for dinner that he accidentally hit with his truck (Montana!).

Also, I share a very unusual name with a character on Game of Thrones. If that's exciting for you.
You should message me if
You don't use emoticons. You're not laid-back, easy-going or open-minded. These are not real things. If you're man enough to come in and read to my students. If the thought of sharing a box of wine and the fact that I once accidentally set up my best friend with a homeless man appeals to you, then I may be interested in being interested.

(Also, I should note that I am not a big fan of hiking and other weird sports stuff. I know that those activities are popular on here and liking them is a desirable trait, but I just don't. I'll support you wholeheartedly while you extreme rock climb or whatever, but I'll be waiting at the bottom of the mountain, drinking.)
