My self-summary
Disclaimer: I don't actively seek anyone at this present time. I come on here every couple of days, and happy to get into a chat with someone, and I will respond fairly fast though.

This is where we try and fit what we are, into neat little headings.

I have tried assembling a list of hobbies before, and failed.
I have lots of interests. I play some weird games on the PC, I am a big outdoors lover, and I enjoy cooking. I am also very much fascinated by scientific articles, especially Astronomy. I'm also a walking Star Trek TNG and VOY database.

And let's not joke around, if there is a romantic interest, sex is important to me. I don't think that's shallow, stupid or mean. I'm into kinky stuff, no point hiding. I've heard about far too many trainwrecks of relationships because of sexual mismatch, where they convinced themselves it's not right to care about it.
But it is.
In friendships though, this is irrelevant, as long as you still respect me.

To people who rate my profile high, that's very lovely of you, but you should follow it up with a message so we can chat! I can't see who are you :)
What I’m doing with my life
Just landed a decent job in the NHS, so yay for that. I plan on studying in a few years, but really right now I just want to establish a big and active social life.
I’m really good at
You are dealing with a self proclaimed kitchen-wiz here. I cook all sorts of stuff. And it's fun. And it's delish.

I like listening to people. If it's not my life, the problems seem so much more simpler to fix.
I always keep my objectivity, and try to be logical and sane about things I say or do. Just trying to ground myself I guess.
Other times, I just take the piss. More often than you would think actually...
The first things people usually notice about me
Hair, accent, height.
I get enthusiastic at inappropriate times.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like books, I like reading, but it's always a struggle to get started on a book. My history with literature is shallow, some mostly unknown books from various writers, the Harry Potter series, and a certain foreign writer István Fekete.
If someone recommends me a book, I usually follow up. Once I get started on one, it's difficult to stop.

Movies & Shows
That is another rather short list. My standards are quite high, the plot has to be great, the acting brilliant, the whole thing just bloody detailed. Or at least make me calm on the inside, restore my faith in humanity or something.
I recently caught up with True Blood (pretty neat) and Game of Thrones (holy shit fucking amazing).

I greatly enjoyed two Star Trek series, TNG and VOY, I liked Generations and First Contact from movies.
I think all James Bond movies were brilliant or at least very good before Daniel Craig took the "spy" out of James Bond.
I enjoyed the Harry Potter movies.
I'm hopelessly in love with pre-millenium British comedies, think The Black Adder, Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, You Rang M'lord?, but I find more recent things, like Little Britain entertaining as well.
You can stone me for it but Two and a half men and Anger Management are awesome.

Another rather short entry, for music.
Most of what I listen to are not widely known (but wouldn't classify as underground). Favourites would be: Fields of the Nephilim, Agalloch, Sisters of Mercy, The Cure, Chiasm, Nine Inch Nails, Immortal, Bauhaus, Joy Division, Siouxsee and the Banshees, Genitorturers, and other, some well known and contemporary (or dating back to the 90s) stuff, bits and pieces, and the freak children of the new age popular music industry that somehow are still good (there are some!), such as Nerina Pallot.
I also like classical music, but I haven't dived into it before, so I couldn't mention anyone. But if you play any instruments, consider yourself being owed a drink and perhaps dinner to. :)

With regards to food I enjoy most things as long as it’s not tongue numbingly spicy. My mouth is a mushroom-free zone though. I can eat things which are quite greasy all the way through to super healthy and love it all.
I cook and bake, and luckily I resort to supermarket plastic-trayed abominations less and less.
Six things I could never do without
In random order:
Rain. I like rain. Or at least think overcast weather. It's soothing. It's calm. It's mellow. It's "pillow-duvet-cuddle" time.
The Internet. - I don't need to remember facts or any sort of information really, because I have bookmarks and Google!
Good earphones - Music basically. I pay attention to it.
Reliable people. Friends. Turns out: no, I can't live without those.
A hob and oven. I feel sorry for the TV dinner generation.
Comfy Bed. A fresh neat piece of bed. Sleep is sacred to me (unless sex).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about random things really...

Something that this site makes me think about: Why is it such a turn off if I'm only interested in friendship with someone? Gosh, I don't like pissing about.
On a typical Friday night I am
Do people really have typical Fridays? I sure don't. I nerd out at my desk far too much, I take every chance to go out with friends, or have them over.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
People are important to me, whether that is a good thing or not...
You should message me if
If you are a nature and adventure lover.
Seeing a squirrel running up a tree, or a crow hopping in the grass brings a smile on my face. If this doesn't sound weird to you, I'll like you.
I do need a frequent crowd/party/pubmash fix though

If you take nothing too serious, but can take all things a tiny bit serious, and have a bit of wit about you, we will get along very well.

If you are a disgusting pervert in some people's eyes, ha.

If you are more interested in meeting new people and building relationships than flicking through photos on online dating sites going "yes, no, maybe"
The two of us
