My self-summary
"I ams what I ams and thats alls that I ams."
Popeye.

Yeah, thats right I just quoted a cartoon. It is the best way to describe me.

I grew up in Georgia. I consider Savannah my home. I am the son of Cuban immigrants and yet a Georgia boy born and bred. I am close to my family and friends. Surrounding oneself with good company is the great quest of ones life. I am also a man of faith. My parents raised me in the church and taught me to question everything. My faith is mine and do not force it on others, but it is a big part of who I am and that I will not change.

I moved out to Los Angeles in January of 2007 and am still finding my way around. I love to act and write and so came out here to pursue my dream. I love the arts, almost all of them. I will dance, perhaps not well, but what I lack in skill I more than make up for with enthusiasm.

I love to go out. I am a social creature. Whether its a movie, a bar, a karaoke club or just about anything else, I love to go out. I also love to stay home. I will cook an excellent dinner, cozy up on the couch and watch a movie.

Movies and TV are passions of mine. I have a tendency to quote them. I love history and science. I am a nerd and I read text books for fun. But most importantly I try to live by this advice, a teacher once told me. "Take the work seriously, but never under any circumstances take yourself seriously."

I am a southern gentleman, a goof, and unafraid of making an ass of myself.
What I’m doing with my life
Since I moved out here, I have been finding my footing. I am an actor and writer. To that end I have started my own production company. I am writing and I directed my first film last year. I am currently studying digital cinematography and am always trying to better my skills.

Learning is another great passion of mine. History and English are my favorite areas of study and will jump at any chance to learn more.

I am also a practicing artist. I work freelance as a filmmaker and photographer.
I’m really good at
At the risk of sounding arrogant, I am good at a few things. Skill comes from passion and in that regard I have learned to do several things well.

I am a wonderful storyteller. As a writer I have learned the craft af painting images with words. That said, there is nothing like hearing one of my stories in person. I talk with my hands and have been known to reenact parts. Its alot of fun.

I am also an excellent cook. There are few things I enjoy more than preparing and serving a meal to those I love. You haven't lived until you've had my Chicken Parmesan.

The last thing I will brag about is my ability to have a good time. Regardless of my setting or occupation, I will find a way to enjoy myself. If its no fun why bother being there.
The first things people usually notice about me
Not quite sure. Some say my height, I stand 6' even. Others say it's my ghetto Cuban booty. Some say it's my sense of humor. Others say my bright blue eyes. I would love to know what you think.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This is probably the most difficult of these questions to answer.

As far as books go, I read mostly text books. I love anything about History, particularly early American History. I am also a huge fan of plays, Shakespeare in particular.

As to movies, the list would be too long to put here but I will give you a few, just please remember the list is vastly incomplete. A few Good Men, Ghostbusters, Empire Records, American History X, Fight Club, Charlie Wilson's War, Pirate Radio, Blues Brothers, The Three Amigos, Center Stage, Iron Man.

When it comes to music my taste varies wildly. I love classic rock, rock, pop rock, classical, opera, folk, crooner, funk, disco, and so many more. The determining factor is almost always my mood.

And as to food. I love food. Sushi is usually my favorite but again it depends my mood.
The six things I could never do without
A few years ago I went on a camping trip to Yosemite National Park. I had no reception on my cellphone, so I could not make or receive call, text or check my email. It was wonderful. I all I had was the company of my friends, the sound of our guitars, the warmth of the fire and the bears hidden in the woods around us. Paradise. My point, I suppose, is that I imagine there is little I couldn't live without.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend my time thinking about my family and friends, what I am writing, what movie I want to see, the national and global economy, the continuing unease in other parts of the world, mostly my mind wonders.
On a typical Friday night I am
I am most likely hanging out with friends at a bar or going to a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If I admit it here it won't be private. That said, I am an open book, ask me and I will tell you just about anything.
You should message me if
If you are not too cool to have fun. If you are looking for someone with which to spend time and share things. If you love life and look for the good in people. If you can go camping one weekend and go to the theater the next. If you take your work seriously but never take yourself seriously.
