My self-summary
I love to travel and explore new places, whether its visiting exotic locales or picking a part of the city I am not familar with and spending the day there.

I like to keep pretty active, but am not one to spend a lot of time in a gym. I try to walk as often as possible within the city and enjoying hiking. I love a good yoga class and have dabbled with Muay Thai, spinning and cardio bootcamp classes as well.

I am a wannabe writer, an avid daydreamer and someone who prefers to see the brightside of life. I am a frequent concert goer- there is nothing I enjoy more than live music (especially of the ourdoor summer concert variety). I also enjoy live theatre. I like to surround myself with creative, expressive people.

I like getting out of the city to enjoy some nature whenever I can- I am lucky to have a few family members and close friends with cottages I can escape to.
What I’m doing with my life
Working as an Event Coordinator/Executive Assistant at the moment- it's a great, fun job and I get to network with a lot of successful and inspirational people.

I love to learn and study, if university wasn't so expensive I would have been a life long student. So far in 2013 I have done a Intro to German night class and a creative fiction writing workshop.
I’m really good at
Listening, yoga, Scrabble, swimming, cooking, seeing the brightside of life, drunken Korean karaoke, Elaine from Seinfeld type dancing and, consequently, laughing at myself.
The first things people usually notice about me
A mass of blonde curly hair, hazel eyes and soft spoken voice.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I am a bookworm with a very large and varied library. I collect classic literature with a soft spot for all things Charles Dickens. Lately I have been reading a lot of Autobiographies, Paulo Coelho novels and positive psychology texts. My books are by far my favourite possessions!

As for my taste in movies- I would pick a good, quirky indie flick over a blockbuster, action movie. That being said I have many "guitly pleasure" movies too. Some of my all time fav films include Kill Bill, American History X, Pan's Labrynth, Dirty Dancing, Forrest Gump, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Bambi, Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz, Pirate Radio, Blue Valentine, The Matrix, The Princess Bride, A Clockwork Orange and Empire Records.

I follow Mad Men and Breaking Bad devoutly. I love to laugh so I watch Saturday Night Live, South Park, Robot Chicken and The Soup when I can. I have been watching marathons of The Wonder Years on Netflix lately and rediscovering a childhood favourite in a new light! Also- if I am bored and channel surfing there is a good chance I will watch anything on TeleToon Retro or the Discovery Channel.

Not long after I learned to walk and talk I discovered my dad's collection of albums which included The Beatles, Stones, CCR, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Zepplin, Hendrix and Fleetwood Mac to name a few. I will always love classic rock. Today a random scan of my iPod will pull up anything from Deadmau5, Kanye West, Daft Punk, Motown hits, Pearl Jam, Frank Sinatra to Nat King Cole, Adele, Queens of the Stone Age, Lauryn Hill, The Black Keys, RHCP and everything in between.

Bonus points for those of you who can play a musical instrument. I envy and admire you and wish I was so inclined to learn:-)
Six things I could never do without
1. My books
2. Laughter
3. Morning coffee
4. Pizza
5. Nice smelling candles
6. Toothpaste/mouthwash- I hate bad breath!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The power of thought, quantum physics, what I am going to have for dinner, and which of the Beatles is my fav (always go back and forth between John and George).
On a typical Friday night I am
In the summer I am likely on a patio enjoying some after work bevies, or on my way out of the city to a cottage for the wknd. Other than that, I enjoy unwinding at home with some good food and wine or perhaps going too see a movie or a live band.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My first celebrity crushes were Axl Rose and Jason Priestly when I was about 6 years old. My taste in men has remained just as varied to this day.
You should message me if
If you are looking to make a new friend and seeing if the natural chemistry is there for something more. Also- if you have read this far and are slightly interested why don't you message me? What have you got to lose? ;-)
