My self-summary
North Bay native originally, but live in SF currently. I enjoy inane blather and iced tea, enjoyed with a nice view of water or foliage. Don't take the frivolous parts of life all that serious, mellow soul. Tend to have more poorly thought out opinions than actual entrenched beliefs, but deeply care about the giant universe of forces all around us. Also like complete randomness, camping, big skies full of stars, camp fires, warm sleeping bags, avoiding crowds and place a high value on porch culture.

Overall just really enjoy nature and would rather go on a hike through the desert at night and see some stars than to a club. That said, I really love salsa dancing and meeting new people.

Would be nice to meet someone fun to hang out, banter and go on camping trips with and or fun on bodies of water.
What I’m doing with my life
Story telling
I’m really good at
climbing trees and drinking whiskey
trespassing on private property
Cooking with a croc pot
The first things people usually notice about me
I come off as very enthusiastic, but I have mellow energy, don't fidget when I sleep and can easily clock oodles of sleep. I also have a beard that people notice, and long eyelashes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music- Love bluegrass, Cajun and anything with a Banjo. Stuff I been listening to lately - Monster Rally, Shakey Graves, Nick Mulvey, Szymon, DirtWire, Mikhael Paskalev, Panama, Jinji Safari, Danger Beach, The Peals, Shook twins, First Aid Kit.

Books - Shantaram, Lonesome Dove, A Confederacy of Dunces, David Sedaris, Calvin and Hobbes, Shel Silverstein, Moby Dick, In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whale Ship Essex, Endurance.

Movies - Huge documentary fan, anything by Werner Herzog (like his writing too), Inside Job, Meru, Gasland, Samsara, Damnation, 180 Degrees South ...too many, just too much awesome. Anything by Wong Kar-wai, Lars Von Trier and Terrence Malick.

TV - Rick and Morty, Tim and Eric, Louis CK, nature stuff and anything with David Attenborough.

Opportunivore. I make a mean pasta with all the trimmings. Also, been eating a fair amount of Ambronite... for better or worse it's kinda awesome and disturbing at the same time...tastes like yard clippings with nutritional yeast and it's from Finland, so it must be healthy.
Six things I could never do without
burritos made with love
watered down fruit juice
a sense of righteous indignation
trees and foliage
wide open spaces
creative cynicism
spell check
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Treasuring hunting with a sailboat and scuba tanks...mostly in the south pacific, but a lot of ships also sunk around these parts and that could be fun too.
On a typical Friday night I am
Cold beer in the park with friends, or out and about, maybe night hike to Tennessee Valley Beach.
You should message me if
If you feel like it, maybe we'll have something to chat about...and you also might be interested in starting a hostel on a beach or in the mountains someplace... pretty serious about that.
