I'm fascinated by cultures around the world and love to travel. I'll be exploring the streets and back alleys, strolling through museums, or laying on pink sand beaches. I love to discover the local food culture while traveling. I can be happy eating breakfast on a plastic stool in streets of Taiwan or dining at one of the top Michelin star restaurants in Spain. I try and take at least 1-2 big trips per year.
I'm a rockstar in the kitchen! I enjoy having friends over for dinner parties and cookouts. I try and cook with fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients. You can find me exploring Eastern Market and other various ethnic markets around the city to find delicious treats. Let's get in the kitchen and cook together!
I'm a life long learner and perfectionist. I get great joys out of perfecting a simple dish because sometimes the simple ones are the most difficult. If cooking with only a few ingredients, they better be great quality and cooked perfectly so that they can shine through. Turning something simple into something brilliant. This relates to everything I do in life. I don't strive to be mediocre. I strive to be better.
In my spare time I'm an avid photographer and race car driver. I also like to run, ski, SCUBA dive, play volleyball, tennis, bike, kayak...
I believe in staying active and fit (mostly so I can eat all the delicious foods, haha) so I do CrossFit and run 4-5 times a week.

Likely reading a cookbook of some kind at all times but also recently finished 1Q84 by Murakami. Next up, Infinite Jest, by David Foster Wallace.
I love food and will try anything at least once. I will search out new restaurants near and far. I don't mind going a good distance for a good meal. How adventurous are you? Let's try something together!
I have a great appreciation for art and anything made by hand. There is something really amazing about someone who can still make something by hand in this age of mass production. Even something as simple as making a great loaf of bread can be an art form in itself.
