My self-summary
Ever try to cook something just for the sake of giving it a shot? Think marshmallows, tortillas or peanut brittle (but not at the same time).

Recently finished a long stint in Vancouver - talk about a long commute! It's a great city but I was there a bit longer than anticipated. I'm now happily commuting ten minutes into downtown SF (although I sometimes feel like a sardine in the Bart car).

I'm originally from Southern California and lived in Chicago for three years prior to moving to San Francisco. I think my first winter in Chicago was really something different and exciting. By the arrival of the third winter it wasn't very interesting at all - it was just cold! Otherwise an awesome city.

I've been in San Francisco for several years now and have been enjoying the variety of activities that living in the Bay Area has to offer - hiking, biking, restaurants, the occasional half-marathon. It's a fun place to live (and very different than SoCal). I recently went curling. It was fun but I don't think I'll be getting an invitation to the Olympic trials any time soon.

I generally maintain a healthy lifestyle and I'm a familiar face at several gyms (thanks Classpass!). I do have a weakness for ice cream.

I'm always up for an adventure (which is how I discovered Chicago). This might mean a hike, getting on the bike or heading somewhere fun.
I’m really good at
Snowboarding - I'm no expert but I'm working on it.

Cracking an egg with one hand?
The first things people usually notice about me
I've been told that I put people at ease very quickly.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I recently read "The Power of One." - a great story about a boy growing up in South Africa during World War II. I think it was also a movie.

The Avett Brothers, Jaymay, Ingrid Michaelson, The Killers and Frank Turner(?!) seem to show up on my most frequented Pandora station. And who doesn't love the 80's? - sometimes I just can't pull myself away.
Six things I could never do without
People's quirks, running shoes, my niece and nephew (you don't earn favorite uncle status overnight), Mexican food!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why some jalapenos are so mild and some seem to set my mouth on fire.

Where did this skateboard resurgence come from?
On a typical Friday night I am
I'm not sure there is a typical Friday night. But it could be the usual suspects - dinner out, relax at home, gearing up for a big Saturday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once asked Ric Ocasek (The Cars) if he was in a band. You're thinking "Who's Ric Ocasek?" - Exactly!
You should message me if are intelligent, down-to-earth and like to laugh. enjoy being active and outside. are someone who enjoys an engaging conversation and someone who doesn't shy away from new challenges. are someone I would be happy to be stuck in traffic with.

...You can tell me what I can do with these black walnuts I've acquired - they might be the foulest thing I've tasted.
