Recently finished a long stint in Vancouver - talk about a long commute! It's a great city but I was there a bit longer than anticipated. I'm now happily commuting ten minutes into downtown SF (although I sometimes feel like a sardine in the Bart car).
I'm originally from Southern California and lived in Chicago for three years prior to moving to San Francisco. I think my first winter in Chicago was really something different and exciting. By the arrival of the third winter it wasn't very interesting at all - it was just cold! Otherwise an awesome city.
I've been in San Francisco for several years now and have been enjoying the variety of activities that living in the Bay Area has to offer - hiking, biking, restaurants, the occasional half-marathon. It's a fun place to live (and very different than SoCal). I recently went curling. It was fun but I don't think I'll be getting an invitation to the Olympic trials any time soon.
I generally maintain a healthy lifestyle and I'm a familiar face at several gyms (thanks Classpass!). I do have a weakness for ice cream.
I'm always up for an adventure (which is how I discovered Chicago). This might mean a hike, getting on the bike or heading somewhere fun.

The Avett Brothers, Jaymay, Ingrid Michaelson, The Killers and Frank Turner(?!) seem to show up on my most frequented Pandora station. And who doesn't love the 80's?
