My self-summary
I'm a Boston native who lives in Somerville. I studied painting at a local art school and was an art teacher before becoming a programmer.

I've been told I'm a complex person and my interests are pretty diverse. I pretty much like anything related to history, art and design, nature, science, film, literature, egalitarianism, surrealism, computer science.

I'm in my element when I'm learning something new or challenging myself intellectually and/or creatively. Also, when I'm around animals.

I tend to get along best with people who are inquisitive, honest and non-pretentious.
What I’m doing with my life
Working full-time as UI developer on hospital websites. Learning and becoming more knowledgeable about the world. Spending time with friends human and nonhuman.
I’m really good at
Solving puzzles, recognizing patterns, being driven, navigating through chaos, making friends with animals, critiquing art, painting/drawing, carefully being on the brink of disaster, concocting masterpieces in my head.
The first things people usually notice about me
More than once that I've been told I look younger than my age.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite writers are Bukowski, Borges, Eco, Goethe, Burroughs, Kafka. Favorite directors are Lars Von Triers,Herzog, Tarkovsky, Kubrick, Terry Gilliam. I literally listen or have listened to everything: classical, world music, deep house, experimental rock, doom metal, apocalyptic folk, electronic, post punk, 90s hip hop.
Six things I could never do without
a drink at a pub with friends,a good pizza, my bicycle, sleep, an epic movie score, a good laugh.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
patterns, memories, the future, human behavior. The state of the world.
On a typical Friday night I am
Going for a long walk home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I like bad 80s movies. I'm terrible at trivia.

You're passionate about something. You find something fascinating. You don't follow the status quo. You're a little strange.

Most importantly, you mean what you say.
