My self-summary
5th generation Californian, but with a European "pedigree". Meant in irony only, because thanks mom -- for leaving the Swiss Alps to view the Golden Gate Bridge, and find your guy! And Oakland raised. It's why a recent Warriors fan poster..."it's rainin' hella threes!"... made me smile.

Soft-spoken, yet hard-driven -- and can carry a big shtick. Yet I've had my challenges in life, both silly & serious. It might have started when I attended an inner city grammar school in my youth, where I learned to dance to the Jackson Five, and mastered the finger-roll layup in street-basketball. I'm sure your challenges have been a bit...different.

Gratitude is one of my favorite words.

I have a soft spot for hand-made goods, crafts, and other fine arts -- draws me in. I have an academic bent, with an admitted weakness for scientific or history tomes -- I can devour them. But don't worry, I would always save an 'appetite' for you, so go ahead and regale me with your own life tales, obsessions (or mis-adventures).

Which brings You sometimes give in to 'under-thinking' the moment, yet freely over-think your passions. You might have some sort of design or fashion sense. Not looking for a clone of my tastes & interests--counterpoint is good. Sharing is fun. I do read the profiles, after ogling your pics.

And I freely admit that I'm a "nice guy". There, I said it. Adding to that sentiment, I tend to be fairly mild mannered, refined in my general disposition. So if you can't help yourself around a guy with more rough edges than low grade sand paper, uh we're probably not a match. You might say I march to the beat of my own drummer.
What I’m doing with my life
I work for a well known sound technology company, on the business side helping people work smarter by designing visual representations of data. With the financial security I've built for myself, I feel free to focus on various outside passions and interests, near and far. Maybe you.
I’m really good at
Putting myself together -- clothes, shoes, a suit. This I enjoy--sometimes a tad eccentric about it.
Word play -- OKC questions are fun. I do like to write.
Leading local urban history & geography walks. A minor passion of mine.
I like to cook -- blame my dear mom and her Swiss 'au pair' past for that.
The first things people usually notice about me
Not that I really care. Well, I do know quite a bit about local history and geography. Occasionally boastful about it--but avoids "man-splaining".
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
BOOKS: "How to be a Mister, not a Hipster" "Fifty shades of Neigh: Horses gone Wild" ... Hopefully you read higher-brow material.

MUSIC: As a true Oakland native, my early tastes were forged in James Brown, then grooved by Jerry Garcia, sharpened by Too $hort, punked by Green Day, and then expanded by EDM. Now refined by a Chopin etude, or a Bach cantata, heh.

MOVIES: Bulworth, Wag the Dog, Woody Allen 'presents'... , La Dolce Vita, Bridesmaids, Back to School, Dr Strangelove, Beetlejuice, CitizenKane, Bowfinger... get the Picture?

SHOWS: As in TV? Don't watch that anymore. If you do, have at it. I did watch Celebrity Rehab awhile back just for the meltdowns.
The six things I could never do without
Health, Books, Curiosity, my "Police" Car, Investments, Being alone sometimes. Two great children, now on their own.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
- Creating a new local history and geography walking tour of SF or nearby >>>

Having lived a bit, I've collected a wise aphorism or two to guide my humble existence. Maybe you too will agree that:

1. Modesty is my best quality.
2. You should never take anybody's advice.
3. Anonymity is my claim to fame.
4. A life of ease is a difficult pursuit.

If you want to know more, just ask me about my vow of silence. After all, life is too important to be taken seriously.
On a typical Friday night I am
Partying, doing serious drugs, pimping, watching trash TV, being a total ne'er-do-well. Silly snarking aside, I stay on the wholesome side of the house and uncork the little devil in me when called for...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Eyeglasses on a lady are very sexy--the more bookish looking, and I may lose control. Keep them on, so I can take them off.
You should message me if
You agree that (in principle) my comfort zone could be your adventure. And vice versa. That's why I'm here. You like a guy that tends to keep a low key, but communicative demeanor (if that makes sense),

You like to kiss. And dance -- even if everyone is watching.

You prefer we meet soon and engage our senses rather than idly construct idealizations built on abstract representations. In plain English, let's hang out.
