My self-summary
Let's see... Equal parts city boy and nature lover, with some geek thrown in for good measure. Love living in Baltimore, and every day that brings a new experience is a good one! My partner in crime is a black cat who's kind of a jerk (we'd make a great movie duo). One of my big mottos is everything in moderation, including moderation... So yeah, I'm kinda odd. And I'm fine with that.

I had the fleeting idea of making a super douchey-slash-awkward profile section as a joke, but then I read some actual profiles and decided that proooooobably wasn't the best idea.
What I’m doing with my life
Last year's big adventure- build a business from scratch and begin following my passions!

This year's first adventure plan- travel to an American city I've never seen, and to Europe again!

As for the day to day, I work as a private chef, personal trainer, and woodworker.

In my spare time, trying to figure out how to become a genius billionaire playboy philanthropist.
I’m really good at

Wait, let's change that to cooking. yeah, that fits a bit better.
The first things people usually notice about me
Eyes... Or zany antics.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like lots of all these things.
I'm not really into Super-gore-horror movies. (I'm down with suspense-horror, but if I feel like they're trying to make me vomit instead of scare me, I'm out. So no mutilation stuff.)
No Twilight. No, really.
And country music is on a case by case basis :P If you like any combination of Edward Cullen, Miley Cyrus, and the Human Centipede, we might not get along. (And if you want to see all of that literally combined, we REALLY won't get along.)

But to be more specific (and I will most definitely miss some)-

Books- House Of Leaves, The Great Gatsby, The Alchemist, To Kill a Mockingbird, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Cookbooks beyond measure, The Apprentice (Jacques Pepin), The Omnivore's Dilemma, A Song of Ice and Fire, Fahrenheit 451, Anything by Bill Bryson, On The Road (Jack Kerouac, not Cormac McCarthy), James Patterson mysteries, Shakespeare (but I stand by the declaration that they're meant to be performed not just read), poetry by Anis Mojgani and Walt Whitman, and plenty more books and poems.

Movies- Dead Poet's Society, The Pianist, The Matrix (original), Ghostbusters, Jumanji, K-PAX, The Fisher King, no Country For Old Men, Any Bruce Lee movie, Sherlock Holmes, Fight Club, Death At A Funeral, The Princess Bride, Meet the Robinsons, Battle Royale, 500 days of Summer, Shaun of the Dead, Band of Brothers (considering it a movie), Angels in America (Stage and Screen), The Avengers (and all its individuals- Iron Man, Capt. America, etc) ... You know what? This list is gonna be waaaaay too long. I like lots of movies. The end. (Shaun of the Dead totally doesn't count as super-gore-horror. It's just a romantic comedy... with zombies.)

TV- Castle, Arrested Development, The Wire, Burn Notice, No Reservations, Game of Thrones, Firefly, Chuck, How I Met Your Mother, Futurama, Breaking Bad, Community, Archer, Spaced, House of Cards... I like quite a few, but those are what I make (or made) an effort to catch consistently. Also just finished True Detective. Best piece of film I've seen in a while.

Oh, and in case it wasn't obvious- I can be a geek. Dr. Who, LOTR, video games... you name it. Deal with it.

Music- This list will be even longer. I like lots of music, and will dance to practically all music after a drink or two.

As for food... There is only one thing I have eaten in my life that I disliked for all time. Pretty much every conversation I have involves a food I'm making, a place to eat, or crazy food-isms. Obsession doesn't begin to describe it. Yes, beer and wine count too... so very much.

Also, did I mention Dr. Who? Because Dr. Who.
Six things I could never do without
A means of playing/listening to music.
Good food. (This could be bacon, this could be a delicious veggie. It could also be more bacon.)
going along with that, A good sharp chef's knife.
My brothers (not things, but you know what I mean).
Good booze. (I may not drink all the time, but when I do, I definitely opt to drink something better than, say, nattie ice.)
A sense of humor.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How DO they make the lucky charms marshmallows??

Thinking about where I want to travel and how to get there. Between marshmallow thoughts, that is.
On a typical Friday night I am
I'm either cooking for and shindigging with friends, being a little crazy out with said friends, or having a quiet night hanging with Shock and playing video games/watching movies/reading a good book with a nice dinner and glass of wine.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Sharks scare the living shit outta me, but only in water.
You should message me if
If you're here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... And you're all out of bubblegum.
