My self-summary
Like that 20 dollars you find In a coat or pair of pants you haven't worn in a while. The coolest person you might not want to date.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a licensed psychotherapist and part-time trouble maker
I’m really good at
making people laugh out loud, playing the Spanish Guitar, tennis (well sort of good, I need to practice), not taking myself too seriously, staying positive despite all the BS in this life, making people feel at ease.
The first things people usually notice about me
that I am even cooler than they thought I was going to be (that was a joke BTW) I really have no idea...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
The Unbearable Lightness of Being (Milan Kundera)
The Hero with a Thousand Faces (Joe Campbell)
The Essential Rumi (I used to read this over and over and over)
The Book of Job

I still watch and laugh at Seinfeld on occasion
Louie CK (let me tell you if you are not watching this you are missing something really great)
movies like The Godfather, Goodfellas, Spinal Tap, Wedding Crashers (I could watch this once a week), Blade Runner(director's cut), Solaris (the original), Star Wars, the 5th element, Breathless (the original), Dr Zhivago (prob. my fav of all time) etc etc.
Music? that is like asking me do I like to breathe air! If I had to narrow it down it would look something like this...
The Bach Cello Suites, The Goldberg Variations, Beethoven's 7th, John Dowland songs, Chopin, Issac Albeniz, Claude Debussy, Erik Satie, Maurice Ravel, Django Rheinhardt, flamenco music and dance, Steely Dan, Vince Guaraldi, John Coltrane, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits , Bruce Springsteen, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Prince, Al Green, Roxy Music, The Smiths, Depeche Mode, The Cult, even some old school hip hop like Erik B and Rakim and the Beastie this is not really narrowing it down now is it!! Bottom Line I WORSHIP MUSIC!!
The six things I could never do without
exercise (Gold's Gym rules!)
green tea
Irish Oatmeal
Red Wine (pinot, cab, shiraz, etc.)al
baroque music
a loving family (I guess I should have put this one first)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Music and how much it takes to play an instrument, music theory and how confusing it can be, why people are so weird...and why finding the right person has become so difficult these days? Does anyone else think this is true?
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably listening to Bach or playing Bach on the guitar or just obsessing over Bach's counterpoint and Polyphonic music. Bach is a genius!!
You should message me if
You think we would hit it off and you actually have time to date and get to know someone. You worship the sound of the Spanish Guitar.
