My self-summary
I like my work, I have lots of hobbies, and I love my friends and family. Loyal to a fault.
What I’m doing with my life
Working, exploring, developing. I am engineer working on satellites, and before that I taught college and ran a small software business. I also was going to school for art history (before I started teaching instead). Generally I keep a pretty busy schedule, but it is rewarding!

I try to get out and go cycling (about 100 miles a week) or running as much as possible. In the winter snowboarding (looking to take up skiing again next season too) and in the summer swimming, kayaking, and lounging on the swimming float off my family's beach place.
I’m really good at
Getting people to spill their guts (and be happy to do it).
The first things people usually notice about me
Shaved head, blue eyes, varying degrees of facial hair. In the winter probably a beanie too. People say I appear menacing at first glance haha.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Authors: Murakami, Arthur C. Clarke, William Gibson, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Harold Coyle, PG Wodehouse. I like cyberpunk and 80s techno thrillers, but good fantastical works and slice of life does it for me as well.

Music: Raveonettes, Ladytron, Dragonette, Grimes, The Delgados, and old progressive house/trance.

Movies: most Wes Anderson films. Love 80s action and comedies.

Shows: Band of Brothers, Gen. Kill, Big Love, Deadwood, Curb. I guess HBO then, except I hate them for how short Bored to Death ran.

Food: not a foodie, but I love good eating. Making up for being a picky eater as a child!
The six things I could never do without
- Camera
- Bicycle
- Internet
- Snowboard
- Family
- Music
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I love politics. I am a total nerd when it comes to following political and diplomatic fronts. Also for a hobby I research and study nuclear weapons policy and proliferation issues... So I guess I spend a lot of time thinking about the end of the world!
On a typical Friday night I am
Relaxing at the end of the week and planning for the weekend. Either here in Seattle or on the Key Peninsula.
You should message me if
If you think we'd meet the Paschen curve to let sparks fly.

Or if you got that lame joke.
