My self-summary
I'm a big fan of doing it for the story even if the story never gets told, and I'll try anything once (for science!).

Let's cut to the chase though: I'm looking for someone to go to Ladyfag and Kayvon's parties with. I think my perfect weekend is working all Saturday, dancing all night, and netflixing all Sunday.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently settled into the white collar world, but I try to spend as much of my free time as I can outside to make up for being locked behind a desk all day. Lifting, running, hiking (read: trail running), cycling, and stealing playgrounds from children.

Oh and moving happy hour outside whenever possible.
I’m really good at

Seriously though, I eat six times a day.

I'm also pretty good at bocce. I'll be the coolest person at my retirement home, easy.
The first things people usually notice about me
There's not much middle ground for me between passable business casual/professional and gym clothes. I think it's more of a result of my work schedule than anything else though.

Then there are leather nights. Which seem to be popping up more and more frequently.

I'm also usually pretty animated about whatever I'm doing/talking about. Must be from having loud friends and an even louder family.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I have a pretty steady blog roll and podcast diet going of: JoeMyGod, Dan Savage, Chad Smith/Dan Green (JTSStrength), Dave Tate (EliteFTS), 70sBig, TED, XKCD, and Johnny McGovern when I can stand to listen to celebrity gossip for more than five seconds (so pretty much never)

I'm a gigantic book worm. I think my all-time favorite is Ordinary People by Judith Guest. Some others in no particular order are: Ender's Game, The Tender Bar, The Ethical Slut, Destroy the Opposition, The Evolution of Dave Tate, SM101, Inventing Money, and It Gets Better. How's that for diversity?

Movies: I have this Saturday/Sunday morning habit of finding and watching the most ridiculous movies available on Netflix. Zero regrets, plenty of laughs.

TV Shows: I'm not much of a TV watcher, but what I've got for you is Archer, Band of Brothers, Deadliest Warrior, most things found on the History Channel, Boy Meets World (a friend bought the entire series recently)

Music: from Andres Segovia to Andre 3000, Armin Van Buuren, The Knux, Goldfinger (throwback), Ricardo Arjona, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Cash, Goldie, The Decemberists. All kinds of dance music. I got into the scene because it's where the newest and most cutting edge sounds were and I stayed for the friends.

Food: everything in moderation. Or excess. Whichever.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I can sneakily listen to music at work. It's the one drawback to an otherwise perfect employment situation.

That and WHO BLOCKS YOUTUBE. Seriously. It's like throwing a shoe.
On a typical Friday night I am
Training to become a ninja and out with friends. You can take that as seriously as you wish.

More and more, though, friday has definitely become an "in" night. Long weeks and a refusal to wait for the weekend to go out mean Friday isn't all that huge anymore.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a huge dork.

Don't tell anyone.
You should message me if
You're not a huge fan of "normal" and you would make a fairly decent getaway driver.

You want to take your Look to the next level.
