My self-summary
I'm a big reader, painter, rollerblader, and candlestick-maker. I like to make fun of my neighbors, to spontaneously break into dance and attempt an impersonation of a responsible human being.
What I’m doing with my life
avidly buying christmas lights, working in the digital advertising arena, singing in the shower like it's american idol (back when it was cool), collecting retro posters and vinyl, trying to find people who want to go hiking with me
I’m really good at
watching other people play video games and getting inexplicably emotionally invested in the game, rollerblading, reading very quickly and possibly missing things, reciting large sections of dialogue from my favorite movies, collecting nitpicky details about arcane things
The first things people usually notice about me
that i've having a private dance party on my treadmill OR my technicolor dreamcoat
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
books: wizard of oz series, love in the time of cholera, the dark tower, h.g. wells, don delillo, requisite vonnegut/palahniuk (I have an inflatable penguin signed by chuck himself), louise gluck, martin amis, Stephen King, Jonathan Franzen, Ian McEwan, a walk in the woods

music: glorious old school rap (de la soul, tribe, Jurassic 5) and synth pop (the octopus project, tobacco, black moth super rainbow), instrumental (four tet, bonobo) plus miscellaneous indie funk (the beta band, flevans). and random electronica, (washed out and goldfish).i've been really into wilco, tv on the radio and jagwar ma recently, thanks to the Spotify discover tab.

tv: buffy, star trek (TOS, TNG, VOY), west wing, csi, penny dreadful, cosmos, naked and afraid, criminal minds, arrested, doctor who, sherlock
The six things I could never do without
1. throw blankets
2. yoga pants
3. books/electronic reading apparatuses
4. wine.
5. GoogleMaps, otherwise i'd wander around downtown NYC for days
6. Science fiction/horror stories/action movies that make my life more dangerous-feeling
I spend a lot of time thinking about
why do so many people talk about cats on this website? and why are there so many complicated emotions about them?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
one time, i danced with my dad to "shots shots shots". like it was a waltz.
