My self-summary
I've spent the last 15 minutes staring at this, trying to come up with something like the modern abridged version of War and Peace but it's just not happening...

So here goes something more pedestrian.

Hi, my name's Joe. I live in Anaheim, a stones throw away from the magic kingdom. Professionally I sit in front of a computer, punching in code hoping it produces some desired effect...yes it's pretty damn boring but I kind of enjoy it.

Recreationally, I find nothing wrong with sitting at a good restaurant, with a handful of friends, eating interesting food paired with an excellent whiskey (Irish please). When not shoving food into my mouth, I do my best to stay active and healthy, which involves the gym, crossfit and yoga.

I freaking love to travel, and wish I could do it more, if not exclusively. But, as you know, traveling is expensive hence the day job. But I make it a point to go on a few trips a year, mostly domestic, sometimes abroad. I'd love to meet someone with a similar interest in traveling, that'd be awesome...
What I’m doing with my life
Coding and whatnot. Who cares.
I’m really good at
Storing random, mostly useless information. Decent cook, self described raconteur and polymath (friends and family may disagree).
The first things people usually notice about me
Typical nerdy Asian guy, correct to certain extent but get to know me, I fit no mold.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
To be 100% honest, I haven't really read a book in years. Last one was Age of Turbulence by Alan Greenspan a few years back, but it was extremely boring. Been trying to get through Neuromancer by William Gibson, and VALIS by Philip K Dick (on a bit of a sci-fi kick) but keep getting distracted by all these BBC documentaries.

Movies, anything by Tarantino, Fincher, Nolan, Coen Brothers, Scorsese, Wes Anderson, Apatow, and on and on. As a teenager thought I'd become a film maker so worked at a DVD shop, which allowed me to watch a TON of movies.

In terms of TV, pretty much all HBO series, except Girls. Modern Family, New Girl, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Top Gear UK, Parks and Req, Community, and last but not least, any BBC documentary.

Lastly, I eat everything, there's only a few things I won't eat (like stinky tofu). If it's something I've never had, I'll try it at least twice. Favorites foods (in no particular order): sushi, ramen, tacos, paella, pho, Persian, Indian, Vietnamese, burgers (in n out), dry aged steaks, seafood of all kinds, and on and on.
Six things I could never do without
Computers and Internet
My motorcycle
Great coffee / beer / whiskey
Great food (Sushi / Noodles / Tacos)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Existential questions, our place in the universe, why there's nothing better than fresh whipped cream on a warm strudel, my future, getting older, ruminating on past mistakes.
On a typical Friday night I am
Doing the same thing we do every night, Pinky—try to take over the world!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I would not make it in prison, and that's the only reason I'm not a criminal.
You should message me if
you feel like it, you're a grown ass person, do whatever you want.

If you do contact me though, I'll definitely respond, even if I'm not feeling it. Because I'm a nice person.

But if we do have a connection, I can at a minimum guarantee some interesting conversation over a stiff, delicious beverage.
