My self-summary
I've been told I'm hard to read, once even by a girlfriend. I don't know how to respond to that, but it's better than the comments about my resting jerk face.

I think of myself as straightforward person. I do what I say. I'm on time. I might also be a hard ass. I tell people not to schedule meetings during lunch. I don't understand how very intelligent adults do not clean up after themselves at the gym. At the same time, I try to be understanding for my own peace of mind. Let's just say I have some rough spots, but I work to smooth them out.

I value kindness, generosity, humility, independence, and adventurousness.
What I’m doing with my life
Walking the dog, riding my bike, work, work, work, work, work, Blue Apron, Santa Rosa, book club
I’m really good at
Monotasking, finding alternatives to popular places and things, cleaning up after myself
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm that guy that loves (loved?) Pride and Prejudice. I've been saying this for so long I'm starting to question it. It's been a while since I've re-read it. In the past, the humor and banter appealed to me. Lately, I've only read book club books. They're usually light. I'm always looking for books that will shake me in some way. Please send suggestions.

I don't go to the movies as much as I'd like. I used to go alone in college because I didn't want to drag anyone to the movies I was interested in. One of my favorites is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I don't watch it often, but the idea pursuing something or someone even if you think you know how it will end appeals to me.

I used to watch a lot of HGTV, which is basically porn for anyone living in the Bay Area.

I wish I knew more about older music. I don't know where to start. I rely on Spotify's Recommended for You playlist that they update every week. The music is mostly disposable. Give me something that sticks!

I signed up for Blue Apron a few years ago to learn a little about cooking because I really enjoy cooking with friends.
The six things I could never do without
Good health
Coffee, bike, porch, book, walking, and dinner friends
Heavy objects, trails, bodies of water, mountains, and good weather
T-shirt, jeans, jacket, and boots
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My bike: what's today's workout, what's tomorrow's workout, where am I riding this weekend, am I racing, what's my next trip, what should I put in my jersey pocket?
Would it be okay to approach that girl reading a book in the corner at Arizmendi's?
Bread, wine, and cheese must have been invented accidentally (miracles!)
Why hasn't traffic been solved?
How different would the world be if teleportation existed?
Nobody really knows what they're doing, right?
On a typical Friday night I am
wondering what I'm going to do that night.
You should message me if
You're nice, or you try to be, and you're looking for the same.
