My self-summary
(In South Carolina for a couple weeks [Oct. 6-15] to help my partner move; looking for folk to hang out with while my partner is on dates or at work because I know nothing about this part of the US; must appreciate open relationships unless you just wanna kick it as friends)

I have nostalgia for places that were never real...

I also have nostalgia for pineapple upside down cakes, which are a different sort of unreal.

I was born and raised in New Orleans (hence my fundamental enthusiasm for the festive). I just moved back to the city after spending a decade away, so I'm tryin' to make connections.

Something else: I'm attracted to ideas as well as people.Seriously. Full disclosure, most of my experiences have been with AFAB people, but it's not all of my experience. I think of myself as a queer switch. I'm also an anarchist and they sometimes all just mesh together.

Words like "eschatology" sounds like candy in my mouth.
Let's get this part out of the way:

Monogamy is not something I can or want to do.

If you're okay with this, and/or want to be friends (because I'm also looking for more friends right now), read on.
What I’m doing with my life

I'm not as aimless as I used to be, but I still like to get lost in lost places.
I’m really good at
I create storytelling projects. For a year or two, I made a new piece every week; a piece being a new performance involving myself and an instrument. Sometimes I make more exciting pieces with other musicians/performers. I'm currently working on creating a podcast. Ask me more about it. I'm always looking for folk interested in collaborating.
The first things people usually notice about me
My darker than white skin. Do you really think it's my eyes? (I do have nice eyes, though).

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Unrelated bits for conversation starters:
-I've fasted for political and non-political reasons.
-I'm an atheist sympathetic to spirituality and i read tarot
-I often wonder about the re-invention of sexuality, gender, information.
You should message me if
I tend to value kind people; elusive and cynical types are great also. Either way, I usually spend time with eccentric folk.

The more of the following, the better:
a)you're playful
b) you enjoy theory and/or art.
c)you have made with your life a world of enchantment,
and you want to enchant me a bit with that world.

d) wouldn't mind going out in public in gender discord

*be upfront. I hang out with people I'm attracted to, but I don't pursue everyone I hang out with. A lot of my closest friends are exes or current partners. Friendship is totally a viable option that I respect and value.
