My self-summary
I am bisexual and disabled. I stutter and am on the Autism Spectrum. I am an activist/scholar in the area of Disability Studies and am working to actively challenge pervasive ableist devaluation of disabled bodies.

Being creative is very important to me. I actively draw. I write poetry. I blog.

I get very excited by discussions of critical theory, politics, ethics, spirituality, philosophy and art. If you are not ready to have such discussions often, I may not be the right person for you to spend time with.

I do like being physically active, but it is not a priority. I am a lazy scholar. A good day is spent reading and writing with a little walking.

I do participate in popular culture, but to a limited extent.
Call me a hipster all you want. Most television gets very annoying. I am addicted to the internet, hopelessly. I love music and concerts, though I do not go to concerts as much as I'd like to.

My worldview is heavily a combination between spirituality and sociological analysis. I tend toward cultural explanations when in doubt. I am mystified by spirit and never use it to explain anything. I just feel it.

I am creative, perserverant, and discombobulated.
What I’m doing with my life
I am taking an off year to work and study while I apply to attend a phd school. I want to be a professor, but if I don't succeed, I'm going to look into working as a teacher or debate coach. As noted above, my identity as a disabled person is very important to me. I have an MS in Disability Studies and am proud of my critical disability rights orientation.
I’m really good at
poetry, conversations, Critical Theory, suffering, surviving, drawing, being a student, being indecisive, being generally creative, writing, reading, analysis.
