My self-summary
I am a brain.... and an athlete.... and a basket case.... a princess..... and a criminal. Does that answer any questions you have about me?

Oh, it doesn't? Then let me continue.

I'm a total geek. Not geek chic fix your computer, but comic books, board games & cartoons without living in my parent's basement. I either get comfortable too quickly and over share or I try not to over share and end up seeming not interested; apparently I have no middle ground.

Hey, you're still reading my profile after that last paragraph and haven't run off screaming. I should stop talking while I'm ahead and you are still interested; you should message me now.
What I’m doing with my life
I work for the local cable company and spend my days telling people that a TV does not work if you do not turn your TV on.

I watch MMA as my sports outlet though I’m not above Sports Center highlights.

Being a nerd I enjoy reading; being a geek I enjoy gaming.
I’m really good at
I am a great Storyteller (both versions, for those in the know). I take the events that happen and word them in an epic way without losing the actual facts but making everything sound much more amazing. I've always hated "You had to be there" stories so I tell them better.

I believe that I am a very good kisser… it's something I've been told many times.

Apparently I am also now good at taking constructive criticism.
The first things people usually notice about me
“He’s a tall scary black man!”
Honestly, it’s what I get the most. Sad but true.
Others tell me it’s my array of very geeky t-shirts.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
(A) Crooked Little Vein - a PI with a track record of bad luck is hired by the government to track down a magic book in the depraved underbelly of a morally bankrupt United States.

Thirteen Reasons Why - Weeks after a teenage girl's suicide, Clay receives her audio suicide note explaining why she did it and the many people who are responsible, including Clay.

Lamb: The Gospel According the Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal - the story of Jesus and the 20 years of his life missing from the bible where he traveled the world with his debaucherous childhood friend, Biff.

(B) Casablanca - classic love triangle tale set in German controlled Morocco during WWII.

Rosenkrantz and Guildenstern are Dead - Hamlet from the point of view of the most minor characters in the play; so minor they don't even know what is actually going on.

Brick - While trying to find the killer of his ex-girlfriend who he still has feelings for, a hard boiled high school outcast ruffles the feather of the drama club, the jocks, the popular kids and the suburb's 20-something drug trafficking don.

(C) Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - Tie in series to the Marvel Cinematic Universe; comic book series on TV!

Bakemonogatari (GhoStory) - A high school senior and self proclaimed do gooder tries to solve odd problems of his friends, family and classmates, usually against their will.... because he used to be a vampire.

Jessica Jones - Private eye falls through the ruins of her life and finds the strength to do what's right through layers of beer goggles and self-loathing.

(D) Welcome to Night Vale - The everyday normal occurrences of near world ending happenstances as told by soothing community radio.

Rachel & Miles Xplain the X-Men (Because It's About Time Someone Did) - Geeky married couple review all X-Men related comic books in chronological order with heaps of snark and pure love for the genre.

Dan Carlin's Hardcore History - This amateur historian talks in great detail about key points and eras in history, with a fascination and love the far past and recent events that draws you into his soothing and melty voice.

(E) Classical, Country, Metal, Musicals, Rap, Reggae, Rock, R&B... anything as long as it's good.

(F) Asian cuisine, be it Japanese, Chinese, Thai or any other. But what I love to cook is American comfort food.
Six things I could never do without

Good Food

Something to write with/on
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about everything… even horrible things no one should think about, ever. Yet, there I am pondering the evil nature and hidden strengths that all humans have.
On a typical Friday night I am
A couple of my friends moved an hour away, so I spend Friday nights over their house because it’s the only day we can see each other.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've been clean of cigarettes, heroin, coke, weed and all narcotics since August 1, 1990.

My favorite terrible pick up line is "Hey babe, are you a fixed APR Load? Because I don't understand your terms and you keep saying you have no interest."
You should message me if
You don't live too far away, you want to try something different than what you're used to, and go away with a happy memory.

Most of my friends are girls, so if you're the jealous type you need not apply.

Also, if you've gotten at least this far and are not interested, drop me a note and tell me why? Am I coming off arrogant, condescending, degrading, elitist, geeky, nerdy, or maybe I'm just plain old fashion ugly! I'd like to find out why I get many views but no one gives me a chance.
