My self-summary
I'm looking to date the right person - nothing too serious to start, but I am open to eventually settle into a relationship if mutual feelings are there. I'm also OK with just finding new friends, too.

I'm the Brewmaster and head of research and development at a homebrewing supply company and am currently in the process of opening a new homebrew supply retail store here in Tucson that is hopefully to become a nationwide franchise. As head of R&D, I design the recipes that are sold to homebrew suppliers and customers around the North America. I also help develop new products and I teach brewing classes. It's a career that I love and am very passionate about. I'm also a certified beer judge and I sometimes judge brewing competitions or teach beer tasting classes (certified by the BJCP - Beer Judge Certification Program).

I am also an avid homebrewer and winemaker. I love fermenting pretty much anything (even food...sauerkraut, kimchi, etc).

In addition to fermenting, I also dabble in cheesemaking. And it wouldn't be unusual to find me combining hobbies, too....such as hop infused chèvre or porter cheddar (YUM!). Plus, if you make wine, you've gotta have cheese, too, right? lol.

I love riding and racing bikes, especially BMX (yes, this is still a thing, even at my age), downhill MTB, and dirt jumping. I'm not the fittest person, but with the cycling I'm getting there (still more fit than most people my age...lol). Still having some problems eating healthy because I do love good food...lol. Maybe you can help? Anyway, when I'm not brewing, biking, hiking, or camping, I like to play some video games with friends. I like playing my mandolin. I'm not the best, but I've been playing for a few years and I have fun with it.

Not really into any sports other than cycling, but bowling is pretty fun, especially with good friends and good beer. And I like watching live hockey games (in person, not on TV). :D

I do not currently have any pets. My dog passed away on 1/30/16 at 17 years old. She was my best friend and I miss her every single day. I do want another dog, or maybe a cat, but I'm taking a break for a bit. I do love animals more than I love most humans, though...lol.

I have some tattoos, but plan on getting more soon. No piercings, though I've had them before.
What I’m doing with my life
Brewmaster at a beer company. Making wine and beer. Teaching people how to make wine and beer. Playing music. Gaming. Camping. Hiking. Riding my bike. Being happy. :D
I’m really good at
Making beer, wine, cheese, traveling, adventure of all kinds. I'm pretty good at the mandolin, but I still need lots of practice. I can also play the didgeridoo pretty well. Racing BMX.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably the scar on my head that makes me look like Harry Potter...lol. Or my eyes, I've been told.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Anything intelligent or funny. (Though I can't stand most sitcoms.)

I don't really watch TV much. But I like Walking Dead, Falling Skies, Doctor Who, and a few other sci-fi shows (I watch them online).

Huge fan of The Daily Show. While Trevor Noah is doing fine job, I will always miss Jon Stewart. :'(

I like Sci-fi movies and TV shows mostly, but I also like many comedies and a few dramas.

I also like any post-apocalyptic fiction. Big fan of Mad Max, old and new.

Too many books to list, but my latest book was "Ready Player One", by Ernest Cline. Great book! It's being adapted into a movie by Steven Spielberg. :)

I like punk, bluegrass, and metal. I like a lot of different stuff though.

As far as food goes, I am an opportunivore. I'll eat what tastes good, but in moderation, of course. Trying to stay at least somewhat healthy. :)
The six things I could never do without
Free thought
My bike
Yeast
My mandolin
Good beer
My friends/family (yes, this counts as one thing)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Travel. Music. Friends that have passed. New beer and wine recipes. Science. Riding/racing my bike.
On a typical Friday night I am
Normally, I'm making beer/wine, riding/racing the BMX track or on my mountain bike, playing some video games, bowling, out with friends, or just hanging out by myself enjoying a movie or book. Preferably, I'm hanging out with you. ;)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Sometimes sad/moving movies make me cry. I turn into a big old blubbering teddy bear...lol.
