My self-summary
Hello. I was born in Australia (we call it Oz). In my junior year of college (University of Sydney) I left Oz by ship for Italy & the University of Padova (Padua to Shakespeare). I lived in Rome for 10 years I worked for Brioni, also the United Nations FAO (Food & Agriculture Organization). I met my former husband (Californian Sculptor) at the American Academy in Rome. We were married in London (I have relatives in the U.K. - my father is British). We lived in Spain near Malaga for a year. Came to Los Angeles which I hated. We traveled a lot to Italy to use the bronze casting foundries & to have marble cut in Carrara. I was married for 32 years.
I'm a retired contributing editor of a weekly newspaper. I have visited about 40 countries, most of them before I married. I now live in an idyllic village on the central coast of California where the weather is ideal.
What I’m doing with my life
I write fiction. Currently an "Unreliable Memoir", which, as the title suggests, is more fiction than fact.
I hike along the cliffs above the ocean. I also hike in magnificent "Big Sur". I practice Yoga & T'ai Chi . I dance "ecstatic dance" free expression.
I am a bookworm , & have been since the age of 5 when I got my first library card in Oz.
I love music. I was raised on Classical, opera & jazz. I also enjoy popular music & ethnic music. I adore Brazilian jazz.
