I live in the intersection of science and spirituality, gourmet and gaming, activity and apathy.
Recently I've flirted with friends and people I just met, laughed with babies, did a Most Interesting Baby In The World voice for the parents, picked up a penny that was beat to heck but kept it anyways, found knots in somebody's muscles and eased them out, and showed them how to divine answers from how their body moves when they think of a question. I am more comfortable outside the box in some ways, putting mustard on my french fries, eating dessert first, planning periods of randomness, and making computers work for my spiritual teachers.
Be direct and honest with me and you'll win my trust, probably more. I am spiritual, but not religious. Mostly I've been learning on the Toltec path, but I have been exploring Kunlun Nei Gung, Shamanism, Reiki, and making it up as I go along.
I am polyamorous, and happy sharing with others, just as long as they're happy sharing me. I have been with Long_Live_Life_ for over 3 years now, and I'm open to dating others as well. I dislike angst and drama, and though I deal with it fairly well, I'd prefer that I didn't have to put up with it. I do my best to be honest, and communicate effectively.
I am honest, meticulous, and humorous.
I am exceptionally good at hugging! If you give good hugs, I challenge you to a Hug Battle! (Hint: Everybody wins!)
You know those people that are so comfortable to be around that without realizing it you start telling them your problems or dark secrets that you feel the need to unburden? That happens to me pretty often, even with people that tell me they are the usually the one doing the listening.
I really enjoy watching movies for the humor, escapism, and to give my imagination something to play with. My favorites are movies I can watch over and over and not get bored with them. The Gods Must Be Crazy, Star Wars, and Serenity are good examples, though when I'd point somebody at my shelf of movies to pick something they usually choose Gattica. You'll know I'm in a relationship for the long haul when we start watching a TV series together like Babylon 5, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Deep Space 9, Veronica Mars, or Firefly.
I really love food! I do maintain reasonable eating habits, but I treat food like an adventure! Sushi, Pho, and BBQ are constant favorites, but I like to try new things. I enjoy cooking, and though I often don't follow the recipes exactly I will use them for guidance and come up with something tasty and original. If you ask me what I made, it won't have a name, but I might tell you what influenced it. A chef once told me I'd be great in a test kitchen, but my knife skills are too slow for a production kitchen.
I am currently on a "Daily Sushi or Guacamole Diet" to get my HDLs back up where they should be. Update: 6 months later my HDLs rose 5 points, so I'm going to keep at it.
My favorite games are tabletop RPG's like Mage or Shadowrun, though I really don't like D&D. My favorite video games are sci-fi shooter/RPG's like Mass Effect or Fallout, and I enjoy some strategy games, particularly the take over the universe turn-based ones.
Daily Chocolate - I might be addicted, but I don't binge. I usually have a piece from The Chocolate Stash I keep at home in the morning. I usually have good quality chocolate in there like the milk chocolate with curry and coconut that I just had a piece of.
Drive-by huggings - I don't get to do it often, but rather than just posting on Facebook or somesuch "*hugs*" when somebody has a rough day, I like to drive up, knock, give them a hug, and leave.
Pixels to slaughter - That is, a category of computer games I use for stress relief where I can just get in there and blow stuff up for a little while instead of buying a rifle and picking a tower...
Naked time - That doesn't necessarily mean sex, but if I had to wear clothes all day and PJs at night I'd get cranky.
Opportunities to break the rules a little here and there. Thus Sayeth Item Number Five, and Thus It Is Written.
What is the plan? Between the hours of 6pm and 11pm there is no plan! Just put it out there and see where it goes. There could be cookies, sex, games, a class, meditation, snuggling, walking, adventure driving, or some other thing I haven't thought of. Then a shower, and bed. Maybe play a little on the XBox to relax before sleep. Quiet the mind, stop thinking about anything, and listen to what comes next! Woosh!
Well, here's a few tidbits... I spend as much of my time at home as possible naked. I pick up pennies that I find, regardless of which side faces up. I like to shower with whomever I sleep with, each bathing the other. I do not emote well over the phone, and I don't know why.
... your ideal date plan looks like, "Between the hours of 6pm and 11pm there will be randomness, and food."
Also, bonus points if you are forging your own spiritual path, working with magick, enjoy gaming, or might want children in a few years.
