I'm a singer, actor, scholar, and dancer (not all of those at the same time, and not particularly the best at any one of them)
I'm a dork in my spare time! I like OLD Dr. Who (William Hartnell!), OLD Batman (Adam West!), and singing OLD songs (Doo-wop and rock from my childhood)
I'm an occasional sight at midnight at the Rocky Horror Picture show. I have a fabulous wig that could probably use a good brushing right now.
I'm probably singing a broadway ballad because I get to express my emotions better when I sing, instead of in life, where I keep being told to push them down.
I have a long love affair with ballet, which generally means I have unhappy muscles and even more unhappy feet. I still struggle with learning 8 counts so I've never been better than an amateur dancer.
I don't know what to put here, so you'll get what other OKCupid users have said! You can trust them! Or you can message them and say, "WTF?"
OkCupid user sveltskye says: "oscar_fn_wilde is great peeps! He is a really fun, caring guy who is always down for an adventure. Besides that, he is incredibly generous and a genuine, sincere friend, with a splash of geek and just a dash of bumbling charm. :D Snatch this one up before he is gone!"
I smile an awful lot, my laugh is...quirky, and I tend to bounce around when I'm nervous.
Almost all of my friends are female. This is a holdover from being a Feminist Studies major, but I generally don't have much to talk about with other guys. If it wasn't for geek/singing stuff, I wouldn't have any male friends at all.
Apparently I have a nice butt. People tend to notice when I wear tights.
Favorite TV Show: The Pretender (I think Micheal T. Weiss is really, really hot)
Favorite Music: I'm definitely into East Coast Punk Cabaret and awesome contemporary folk influenced music - Amanda Palmer, Zoe Boekbinder, Unwoman, Jill Tracy, Nicki Jaine. and Musicals. Lots of Musicals.
Food: Thai food is probably my favorite Ethnic food style - I tend to want the whole menu at any Thai restaurant. I prefer to cook vegertarian.
2. Stephen Fry
3. Discworld Novels!
5. Thai food
6. Being awkwardly in love with someone (Generally unreciprocated, such is life)
The Dalai Lama! He's a great inspiration for me, and I got to see him in Foxboro, MA during a difficult time in my life, and he was very inspiring in getting through that.
Whatever happened to Nicki Jaine? She was this amazing musician from Philadelphia who completely disappeared off the Internet circa 2011. I used to be facebook friends with her back before their were "fans" on the site. But I think she's retired or something...
I kissed a boy first. I didn't particularly like it. He was not wearing cherry chapstick, maybe that would have made it work.
Oh, big thing. I don't get texting. Texting, for me, is a bad form of communication - I hate not being able to get any kind of inflection or context for what people say, and I tend to say what people do not want to hear when I write a text based on my perception of a person. Definitely don't want that as a primary form of communication.
Message me if you'd like to laugh, like to discuss gender, awesome music, and make great new friends. I don't think anyone can have enough great friends, and I'd really like to get to know you.
