My self-summary
My misspent youth was misspent getting a PhD in economics and working at the Federal Reserve. Now that I've finally got my shit together I spend my days making music, growing plants, working out, dancing, hiking, befriending strangers, plotting to kidnap dogs, and fixing tiny corners of the world with the healing power of data.

My whole life whenever I came to the Bay I would think "why don't I live here?" So now I live here.

Looking for a life partner kind of drains the fun out of it, so let's just say I'm looking for someone I want to spend today with, and tomorrow, and the day after, and the next...
What I’m doing with my life
Skydiving, showing off my abs, visiting picturesque foreign locations, and hanging out with captive tigers. Unfortunately I have no photos of any of these things.
The first things people usually notice about me
My overpowering halitosis. Then my eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My first attempt to write this section devolved into an unreadable mess, so let's keep it simple.

Music is my favorite. I like a lot of different kinds. If there's a type of music you love then just assume I love it too (I probably do) and we can have informed discussions about it and make out while listening to it.

My favorite poem is "To His Coy Mistress" by Andrew Marvell, which I think is very appropriate for this site.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the inevitability of death. How to live a good life in the meantime. Also, puppies.
On a typical Friday night I am
probably at Hoodslam.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My views on dating, love, and sex are heavily informed by the writings of Dan Savage.

We're lucky to live in a time and place that (generally speaking) lets us enjoy sex with whomever we want however we want, with minimal fear of disease, unwanted pregnancy, or social opprobrium. Let's take a moment to appreciate what a wonderful thing that is.
You should message me if
you're a total badass. You also think women waiting for men to ask them out is retrograde and kinda dumb.

I want to find someone who is independent, outspoken, sociable, and exceptionally smart. Mature enough to have lived through some pain. Serious about being a good human, but knows life is too hard to predict or control to take too seriously. And has a prayer of beating me at never-have-I-ever... If this sounds like you, please get in touch posthaste.
