My self-summary
Well, I'm a serial introvert, so you can imagine how comfortable I might feel filling this thing in. Nonetheless, life is all about open doors, and this seems to be the most appropriate place on the internet for me to attempt this sort of thing. I'm looking for like-minded people who share my desire to find something new in their lives, whatever form that may take.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm working as a technical consultant for a small business software house; I had intended to be a developer, but I've ended up getting drawn down the "paid to be a walking encyclopaedia" route instead.

My dream job would be in public transport data, which probably tells you all you need to know about my character. I'd love to live and work in London, but the whole house-sharing thing makes me hesitant - I did enough of that at uni.

Whilst it doesn't necessarily show depending on which parts of my body you are looking at, I spend a lot of time at the gym these days, and I even pay a personal trainer to provide ritual torture on a weekly basis (which I can afford by not owning or driving a car).
I’m really good at
Anything to do with computing (or at least, I'd like to think so). Solving logical and mathematical problems makes me happy. I'm also good at German, because it's such an awesomely logical language. What I'm not so good at is applying logic to my daily life... I'm a bit of a walking disaster zone.

I'm also a pretty good listener, or so I'm told.

I like to pretend to be good at Super Smash Bros., with varying degrees of success.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm a wee little bit on the awkward side. Don't worry, I'll still be able to make conversation with you, as long as you're not (1) someone who looks like they beat up nerds, or (2) someone as awkward as or even more awkward than I am, in which case an excruciating comedy will ensue.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
If the contents of this section would be important to you, then we're probably not a good match! I suck at being cultured...
The six things I could never do without
The friends I made at university
My weird and wonderful family
New and exciting food & drink
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whatever happens to be the least relevant or appropriate thing at that particular moment in time.
On a typical Friday night I am
In Bournemouth or London spending time with my friends, or at home with my family watching crap on the telly.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I like spreadsheets a little too much.
