My self-summary
I grew up in the Bay Area, went to Stanford, and still live in the Bay Area. I think that makes me some sort of a lifer. Along the way I traveled around Asia a whole lot and lived out of my car near big rocks all over the place.
What I’m doing with my life
Living in a big house with 6 other awesome people, programming at a start up, and trying to spend as much time as possible in the outdoors.

Also sometimes playing ukulele badly and often wishing my minivan had AC that worked.
I’m really good at
Yoyos, really.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm terrible at standing still and telling my left from my right.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Breakfast, novels, sometimes poems, bad punk from the 90s, bad cyberpunk from the 90s, and a whole bunch of other stuff.

I listen to drum and bass at work most days all day. If we're being honest, my terminal is green and white on black and I often fantasize about being in some Matrix-like dystopian future. But anyway, some huge percentage of my life has probably been spent listening to drum and bass.

The six things I could never do without
Rock shoes, books, passport, coffee, sleeping bag, enough jackets to make a pillow.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Computers, travel plans, and not having enough time to do all the things I want to do.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually going to bed early so I can get up early.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I spent a lot of years pursuing rock climbing to the detriment of other stuff in my life. It was pretty great, but due to shitty circumstance I have recently spent time away from the sport to focus on work, relationships, being a better friend, etc. After years of turning away serious, long-term things I finally want a serious, long-term thing.
You should message me if
You are smart and meaningful experiences in the outdoors are important to you.
