My self-summary
I'm fairly smart, pretty creative, kinda cute, kinda nerdy, quite liberal, a little quirky, super passionate, definitely ambitious, outrageously curious and sometimes frustratingly inarticulate. I've traveled the world several times and my eyes and my mind are wide open. I have a point of view and I'm not afraid to share it. I'm dedicated to what I do, but I understand the need for balance. I'm always up for an adventure but I do enjoy a quiet evening alone. I love sharing stories over a great glass of wine.

UPDATE: I'm relatively new to Cleveland and not so interested in taking the time to rewrite this profile, so for now this is what I will share...

I made the move from the West Coast to the West Side this past August for a career shift. The transition has not exactly been an easy one, but I do believe I am finally over the culture shock of it all and the dust is settling. I tremendously miss the landscape of California, as well as my friends. Some days I wish I could snap my fingers and be immediately back there. I do realize that I need to give this place, which is now home, a fair handshake. So for now, I am here, and I am looking forward to exploring the nooks and crannies of what makes Cleveland so great. I teach at the graduate level at an Art School in San Francisco, it's a sweet gig as I only have to be on-site two days a week, so my time is rather flexible. Some days I'm amazed at how fortunate I am to be paid for something I truly enjoy. I'm trained in the field of industrial design, but my new love is for the culinary arts. ...I'm slowly working my way into the food arena.

After living in San Francisco for six years and running my own design/manufacturing company, I packed it all up and headed North for a quieter, stress free lifestyle. I've been living on the rural edges of Sebastopol for six years now, and while I still enjoy the city for all that it is worth, nothing beats hanging out on my deck in the evening, listening to the crickets and gazing at the stars.

Over the past five years, I've been able to seriously get involved on a local level regarding food growth, politics and consumption. Making, baking, preserving, cultivating and growing is pretty much on my mind daily. I enjoy all food grown and raised locally and organically, except raw tomatoes... it's a texture thing.

I'm hopeful that in recent history, you have accomplished something you are proud to share.
