My self-summary
By day I work as a server admin (Linux and a few Windows ones) and a network geek. Basically I end up in front of a computer nearly all day. When I'm not at work I'm generally watching a movie, playing games (video games or board games), reading a book or out looking for new things/places to photograph. I've also recently started playing Ingress which keeps me out of the house and discovering new & interesting places to visit in SLC. Basically I just try to keep myself busy.

Right now I'm also trying to study for study to renew my CCNA (Cisco Certified Network associate and to get my CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification to help out with my career. I'm also trying to get myself on a regular schedule of going to the gym.

I love to travel whenever I can. To date I've been to 23+ countries and around 16 or so states, though most of these were as I was growing up and was a military brat. I would really love to go back and visit many of the countries in Europe now that I am much older and could appreciate it more.
What I’m doing with my life
Working, trying to improve myself, trying to figure out where to go from here and every once in a while surprising myself.
I’m really good at
Computers, solving problems....usually in less than normal ways and I read pretty fast.
The first things people usually notice about me
Honestly.....either my weight(something I'm working on) or how deep-set my eyes are.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Sci-Fi/Fantasy usually: Harry Potter Series, Sword of Shanarra Series, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Lord of the Rings. Documentary/Biography type books can be interesting too, usually skewed towards major failures as I like to try to understand what what wrong like The Smartest Guys In the Room (Enron), the 9/11 Commission Report. Also currently reading the Memoirs of Benedetto Cassanova.
General Fiction: Sherlock Holmes

Star Trek, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Sgt Bilko, Spaceballs, But I'm a Cheerleader, Latter Days, Paycheck

Music: I listen to just about everything, though I tend to stay away from Country and Rap (not as a rule, there are exceptions).

Food: Not a fan of seafood or tomatoes, but generally like most foods other than that.
Six things I could never do without
Computer/Internet, friends, family, books, curiosity...5 is the same as 6, right?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I tend to spend a lot of time running through an entire debate of an issue, usually just some random topic I pick for myself that day. If I'm not internally debating myself then I'm trying to think through a problem I'm trying to solve.
On a typical Friday night I am
Generally home, on occasion I'll go out with friends to a bar or movie or something.
You should message me if
You know why 'rm -rf /' is usually a bad thing.
