My self-summary
Hi, I'm Jayson. Thanks for stopping by.

There are oaks in this world. Majestic, tall, strong and unbending in the face of adversity. And there are reeds. Discreet, unassuming, flexible and adaptable. I liken myself to the reed. I'm nobody important, not particularly strong, and I bend it more than Beckham ever did.

Adversity has come and gone. I've seen several oaks snap in the wind. And yet here I am, wobbly but upright. OK, very wobbly these days.

Nothing is set in stone, and I'll challenge "conventional wisdom" when it's merely conventional and not wisdom at all.

Conventional wisdom says monogamy is the only path to true happiness, and that polyamory brings misery. Conventional wisdom says I shouldn't explicitly welcome and find connections with transgender men and women both, genderqueer and gender neutral folk. It says I can't be happy with an asexual partner.

Conventional wisdom can suck a BFDD. I'm too busy being happy.

I'm very outgoing and I'm easily pleased. I love going out and doing things, if it's just heading to the local game store for some boardgames or grabbing a bite to eat. Generally, I'm a happy person who just wants to spend time with my loved ones, and making them laugh. We may have some slight differences as to what is actually funny, though... ;-)
(Puns are awesome!!!)

I I like to play board games, they're my passion. Not stuff like Monopoly and Risk, but serious strategy games like Lords of Waterdeep, Coup and Revolution! Not to mention social games, including The Resistance, One Night Ultimate Werewolf, Telestrations, and of course, Betrayal at House On The Hill. If you want to know more about board games; just message me! If you already know and like these sorts of games... Let's get together for a games night! I can bring a bunch myself.

I'm fat. You presumably figured that out from my pictures. I'm quite happy being fat, I'm not planning to change. I think your body is awesome as is - it keeps your brains off the floor :-D

That being said, I'm not up for sports, hiking, the beach or other outdoorsy stuff, sorry! Even when I was skinny, I was never into that. I was always reading instead.

I used to say I was no good at these self-summary things, but the fact I'm up to eleven paragraphs has determined that was a lie. Actually, holy shit. It was only 6 paragraphs before this edit... Regardless, I have a lot to say about just about anything. Drop me a message!. I love talking to people, and I always respond :)
What I’m doing with my life
Currently though, I'm off work with my disability. Always on the lookout, seeing what I can do, but the hard truth is nobody wants to hire the disabled. So I'm exploring volunteer opportunities.
I’m really good at
Games, giving advice, being helpful, loving wholly, working around my disability, solving problems, navigating transit, making people feel welcome, conversation, reading, finding my way around, just being me.
The first things people usually notice about me
Right now, it would be the mobility scooter. Hard to miss.

Otherwise, my lack of fashion sense or my stupid looking smile...

Ok, several past girlfriends have scolded me, saying my smile is lovable and warm. *mutters* I still think it looks silly...

After that, depending on the circumstances, people tend to notice either my friendly helpfulness or crippling shyness.

Edit: I am exceedingly shy, but nobody seems to notice. When I say I'm shy, people call bullshit. Damned if I know why.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I don't care what you put here, but my tastes are weird. So it's like religion - it's personal and I don't talk about it because it's pointless. People who have long lists here strike me as kind of pretentious though.

Food: I'm a real meat and potatoes kinda guy, especially if they're garlic mashed potatoes with gravy. Mmmmmmm... I like my food simple, filling and tasty. Sorry vegans, it's just not gonna work out.
The six things I could never do without
Human contact,
My phone (which helps with that),
My glasses,
My scooter,
A comfy bed,
and a fan, because I overheat easily. But I'm a super warm cuddler as a result
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Pretty well everything. The curse of ADD is that I can't ever stop thinking. On the upside, this means that if you ask me about something, I probably have a fair bit to babble about it. Just don't ask me open ended questions. I never know where to start and thus you'll never get an answer.
On a typical Friday night I am
Days of the week are pretty interchangeable right now. Thursday is board game night at my local store though.
Come play! Every Thursday, 5-9pm. Craving for a Game, in Surrey Central mall.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My girlfriends paint my toenails all sorts of colours. Ask nicely and you can see...

I guess the one thing that seems to surprise people is that I've never watched Toy Story.
You should message me if
Because you want to? I have no hard expectations about what I'll find here... Frankly, I'm looking for connections and then to let things develop organically from there.

So yeah, message me if you're interested or intrigued. Or you're bored and have nothing better to do. Or whatever. Honestly, I like talking to everybody, so the best and only reason to message me is because you want to. Don't worry, I don't bite. Unless you ask nicely...
