My self-summary
By day (and the occasional night...) I'm an RN doing homecare case management. I'm looking for a partner in crime and someone to hang out with at home as well. I'm super into travel, whether that means a quick weekend getaway or ticking another state off my list.
I like figuring out what makes people tick, but hate analyzing the fun out of everything.
I'm fairly far to the left when it comes to most issues. If you are hard core right leaning we're probably not going to get along.
What I’m doing with my life
Isn't that the question?
I don't know man. I love music and local bands, trivia nights, and nerdy tv/movies. I feel compelled to leave this world better than I found it. I can't imagine living a life devoid of purpose or helping others.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh, having a good time, throwing theme parties, listening, staying up past my bedtime, trivia/pub quizzes, being easily amused because life is kind of awful sometimes and laughing at farts is way better than crying all the time.
The first things people usually notice about me
It's always the weird baby arm on the back of my head and/or that I'm laughing a little louder than everyone else.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music- in no particular order: Placebo, Ours, Depeche Mode, American Head Charge, Led Zepplin, The National, Muse, Radiohead, Interpol, The Cure, Doomtree, Atmosphere, Dessa, Type O Negative, Deftones, Nine Inch Nails, Likehell, Polica, iamx, Rancid, David Bowie, Elton John, Har Mar Superstar, Ministry, Duran Duran, The Cardigans, The Toadies, Weezer, anything with Mike Patton involved, Stabbing Westward, Metric, Failure, A Perfect Circle, rockabilly, Rufus Wainwright, Elliott Smith, Queen, Align, Down and Above, The Rope
I totally own up to the fact that I like Taylor Swift.
I hate Kanye West, but completely understand his brilliant douchebaggery.

TV- Lost, Game of Thrones, Battlestar Galactica, Dr. Who, Buffy, Firefly, X-Files, Greys Anatomy, House, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Project Runway, Family Guy, Heroes, American Horror Story, Dexter, True Blood, Twin Peaks, Mad Men. I also have a weakness for home improvement shows and House Hunters.

Books- Anne Rice, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Neil Gaiman, Steven King is periodically enjoyable, Vonnegut, Salinger, Tolkien, Thomas Harris, Faust, Shakespeare, National Geographic, Fight Club, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Movies- Cabaret, Silence of the Lambs, Fight Club, Super Troopers, Secretary, Eastern Promises, Donnie Darko, The Goonies, James Bond (Connery is the BEST with Daniel Craig being a close second), Office Space, Indiana Jones, comic book movies (partial to X-Men, I love the implied subtext), many more i can't think of at the moment.

Most things Asian are delicious, especially sushi. I don't really like fried foods or hot dish/casseroles. I think this makes me a midwestern conundrum.
The six things I could never do without
My peeps
My soundtrack
Mischief, Mayhem, & Maslow's Hierarchy of needs
Animal Husbandry
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I wish I was on a rock and roll road trip or at The House on the Rock, or how I hate geese, or how kick ass Elton John and Led Zepplin are, or sushi, or how I really want to observe an autopsy. You know, girly things! (nerd points for knowing where the last sentence came from)
On a typical Friday night I am
Socializing. On a patio. Sitting on the couch with my badass cat and/or friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I went and saw Slowdive with my wifey on Halloween last year and wore a full body deviled egg costume. No one else seemed to think it was as rad as we did.
You should message me if
I'm looking for somebody drama-free with their shit mostly together. Someone who is sincere, but doesn't take himself too seriously. Someone who is a good friend, a partner in crime and an equal partner in life, and a tiger in the sack.
