"...if you can bring yourself to face not shadows but real death, described and recognizable, by bullet or saber, arrow or lance, then you need never be afraid again, at least the same way you were before. Then you will be a man set apart from other men, safe where other men may cry in terror. This is the great reward. Maybe this is the only reward."
East of Eden
Yes, it is.
And if you think this is too intense, then pass me by. I know first hand of what he writes.
" i, with a deeper instinct, will choose a man who compels my strength, who will make enormous demands on me, who will not doubt my courage or my toughness, who will not believe me naive or innocent, who will have the courage to treat me like a woman."
....and you seek an assertive man who knows what he wants and goes for it, who wants a relationship devoted to mutual pleasure.
I am widely traveled, well educated, entrepreneurial. I live alone and work at home, with a very flexible schedule. The woman I seek encompasses not just attractive physical features but also spirit, kindness, intelligence, curiosity and her own opinion. I don't want a doormat, but rather a woman with the attributes that usually come with some years of maturity (this means especially that you know the songs).
If are you tired...as am I...of the silly on-line games playing, of communicating with people who don't know what they want; if you are put off by people who just want to...or can only... exist in cyberspace...then contact me.
But please, if you are a graduate of the "I love you, you're perfect, now change" school, look elsewhere. I am NOT perfect...and I am not likely to change...much. Nor will I wish to change you. By this time in your life you should be accepting of people and their preferences...even if those are not yours.
One more thing: affection, hand holding, cuddling and kissing are musts.
Stay hungry, stay foolish...and enjoy your journey
