My self-summary
Current Life Now Section: Recently got a new job after loosing the one I had for 8 long years. So far it is going well, though as a desk job I wonder how I am going to get all my walking in. I am tapped to become a church elder as long as I don't blow it. The only debt I have is an education loan < 4K with a very low percentage rate. I can pay it off tomorrow if I wanted to. Oh, and portions of this profile is horribly out of date!

I am an INTP 5w4, if you know the MBTI and Enneagram. For those of you who just went, "What the heck?!?", I am an introverted, self-proclaimed brainiac (rather say I love learning than say I am smart... arse). I like to observe people, things, and events without participating and build... abstract... things. Hence my interest in programming and other nerdy behavior. So if the quiet nerd isn't your type, move on, I'm not for you!

Here is some generic info on being an INTP for those interested:

I am always reading something, and once I got a Kindle, I may never catch up! Unless you include chess or poker, I am not into much sports. Though I would like to get more involved in outdoor activities, particularly hiking or just walking around Washington Park, unless its cold.

And yes, I am single (unless that above changes to something else). I am one who tends to get stuck in the "lets just be friends" and, for me, I don't really mind. And here is a case of this.

My match map!
What I’m doing with my life
After getting a degree in programming and e-Commerce, I naturally went into a blood processing lab. OF COURSE! Anyway, due to changes out of my control, I lost that position but still employed there. Less fun, but some aspects of it got better.

Scratch that. Now I am working for a Medicare accounting firm since late 2015, and now using my programming knowledge for once.
I’m really good at
Erm.... My strength and flaw is the same thing. "Jack-of-all-trades and master of squat" ... ... ... ... ... Being quiet?!?
The first things people usually notice about me
IF they notice me, that I am quiet. I am an observer after all and only talk if I am actively discussing something or seeking information. After that, my brainy nature.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Its impossible to list them all. Consider these lists frequently out of date. I don't watch much TV at all, but do have Amazon Prime, so I see something there on occasion.

Books: Got way too many, especially with a Kindle. I have read everything from non-fiction to graphic novels! Harry Turtledove was a favorite author of mine. Read all but the last book of A Song of Ice and Fire and just never got to the last one. Actually completed both GEB and Tocqueville's Democracy in America after multiple attempts. Read several of Asimov's books, adore the Temeraire series, liked Atlas Shrugged but could not finish Fountainhead, read Frederick Douglass autobiography and (just before that) Harriet Jacobs, and a whole freak load of half-read books I don't want to list!

Edit: Recently gobbled up The Golden Age (Ocumene) Trilogy. Very teeth shattering, CRUNCHY hard sci-fi, but was one of the best books I've ever read.

Movies: Most are Psychological horror/thrillers, even if the quality is pathetic, and only when alone, movies that are emotionally DAMAGING! Requiem For A Dream comes to mind. Others include: In The Mouth of Madness, Crazy as Hell (a pathetic one), Mothman Prophecies, Deceiver, One Hour Photo, Below, Spider, and Jericho Mansions. My all time favorites though is The Prestige, The Fountain, Narnia: LWW, Network (which should be seen by all), and Luther. I also like comedies that move fast and confusing (Oscar, Clue).

Also, for both books and movies, anything with minimal sci-fi/fantasy along with Steampunk. But why 'punk' instead of 'pulp'?

Music: Oldies, mix-genre, depressing songs that are not sad, and story like songs count for most of them. But I like songs from every genre. Very hit-and-miss. With the exception of E Nomine (Latin choir based in Germany with lyrics involving good and evil) and Two Steps From Hell (does music trailers and other epic sounding music), I don't really have a favorite band or single artist. Some favorites: Ode to Billie Joe, Melancholy Man, And When I Die, Civ IV's Baba Yetu, Come Sail Away, and Death is the Road to Awe from The Fountain.

Foods: All of them, thanks!
Six things I could never do without
E-mail, books, Wikipedia, Reddit, Diet Pepsi, sanity. I think its safe to say without internet access I might run the risk of going insane.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Abstract stuff... okay, personology, politics (like why the bulk of the voters should boycott our two major parties and vote for a third party for once... or what my ideal system of government will be), religion and spirituality, and philosophy. I also have some story and game ideas which will never see the light of being published. I am a fan of RPGs even though I never actually PLAYED pencil / paper ones. (I've done a hack job on D20 so its less of a class/level system, which is classic INTP behavior).

And about religion, if you are a Christian with an hour to kill, watch this. If you don't agree with him, we are not compatible. That simple.
On a typical Friday night I am
Well, I was working nights 2nd shift. Now that I have a normal FT 1st shift job... recovering? Since I am single and don't go out much, I often say home and just catch up on other things Friday night and Saturday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
That I am an asexual. Or a hetro-romantic demi-asexual. But that long label is mostly for other asexuals. Basically, I have no desire for sex, though I am willing to give it and under the right circumstances might even enjoy it. The giving, not the receiving! Call it an INTP's inferior extroverted feeling and leave it at that. (If this is a concern or confusing in any way, go ahead and ask) Of course if you are another asexual, not going past the cuddle stage is okay. You can learn more about asexuality at if you really want to know.
You should message me if
WAIT! The "Looking For" section is somewhat misleading! For a LTR, the above is true, with 'near me' being the distance of Decatur, Lincoln, Jacksonville, and whatever that average distance is to the south. For e-pals though, 18-81 from anywhere in this solar system. In other words, I don't care. Though being from Mars will be a huge plus. Why did OKC took out the long distance penpal option?!

And what's wrong with finding a message from someone with a high Enemy score? That might be kinda neat! "Hello, I am your scientific dating match polar opposite!"

Anywho, for dating/relationship purposes, I am looking for a non-smoker who is hopefully an NF according to the MBTI. If you have no idea what that means, they tend to be empathetic, full of heart, idealistic, altruistic, and intuitive. But let it be known I tend to friendzone INFPs real fast and have yet to meet an ENFJ or INFJ who is both single and local. Which is REALLY HARD apparently. Here is some more info on NFs:

I do enjoy talking about love, relationships, and (decently) sex. Think When Harry Met Sally before they blew it. If you're looking for something more, here is your warning: I am a slow, friendship-first type of a person! So if you are looking for an intimate encounter, go elsewhere. I need bucket-loads of mental intimacy before becoming physical, and you should realize that cuddling is where I draw the line. (I really desire a cuddle buddy, not a f-buddy!) I also like those who like both teaching and learning; nerdy (love learning) but not necessarily geeky (one who engross herself in one thing).

Here is a video of a woman I find attractive. And I don't mean looks!
