My self-summary
Stop making sense.
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated with a major/minor ECE/CS from Cornell. Now I'm an engineer at a startup on what this city has affectionately taken to calling "Silicon Alley". We sit on yoga balls, play ping pong, have red bull in a fridge and effectively complete the stereotype. I love my job, my coworkers are some of the brightest and funniest people I've ever worked with and the work is incredibly stimulating.

Personally? I'm happy and young. Let me get back to you in a few years when the first five-year plan comes together. For now I'm quite satisfied.
I’m really good at
Losing my keys.
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair. It has a mind of its own.
Bob Dylan?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Right now I'm reading Robert Pirsig's Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Some of my favorite authors include Haruki Murakami, James Joyce, Junot Diaz, David Foster Wallace, and Raymond Carver. I primarily read fiction in my own time since I read plenty of technical papers at my day job.

I adore music. I spend a lot of my free time going to concerts or checking out bars with live performances.

If I had to pick a favorite year for music I lived through it would have to be my freshman year in college, 2008. That was when the indie electronic wave (MGMT, Miike Snow, LCD Soundsystem) really picked up and overlapped with indie rock/pop (Vampire Weekend, Sufjan Stevens, Beruit), ultimately producing great bands like TV on the Radio, Cut Copy, and Yeasayer. So I generally enjoy that intersection between indie rock and electronica but I'm amenable to most kinds of music.

I'm also a big fan of Nu Disco and Electro Swing / Nu Jazz. I'm not a fan of using the word "Nu" everywhere though.

I could watch this all day long: TV on the Radio - Second Song.

Oh and the Talking Heads is my favorite band of all time. I could watch Stop Making Sense a thousand times and it wouldn't get old.

Movies & Shows
I'm pretty out-of-touch with recent movies. Going to a movie theatre certainly isn't my ideal date nor something I generally do in my free time. That said, I do enjoy movies, I just can't seem to find the time to sit down and watch them regularly. Wes Anderson, Woody Allen, Quentin Tarantino, Hayao Miyazaki, and Stanley Kubrick are among my favorite directors.

It's all about Breaking Bad when we're talking about TV. Mad Men, Louie, and Homeland are other favorites.

I love food, all of it, and I don't trust people that don't. If you don't like food then you're clearly missing the point.
Six things I could never do without
0. Friends & Family
1. Water. I'm not being snarky. Anything having to do with water: swimming, boating, beaches, scuba, etc.
2. A stocked kitchen. I love to cook.
3. Music. Music is my beach house.
4. Wine. No explanation necessary.
5. A good book. Brain food.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
When I can get an Australian Shepard
When I can get a Triumph Bonneville
Are the two mutually exclusive?

The widipedia article for Action Park.
On a typical Friday night I am
With friends, generally cooking and drinking together before going out somewhere.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I didn't learn to drive in the 5 years I had my learners permit and now have to carry around my green card as a form of ID.
You should message me if
You're fun and would like to get a drink, check out a new restaurant, or see a show sometime.
