My self-summary
Recently moved to Montgomery after a year living in England. Finally done with all things academic and looking to become a semi-responsible adult. I'm incredibly laid back but not lazy. Humour, compassion, adventure, and confidence are qualities I value in myself and others. Looking to get my feet wet after being out of the "game" for a while. Being new to the area I'd love to meet someone who can show me around and be both tour guide and adventure buddy.
What I’m doing with my life
Just started a new job so I'm mostly trying to get settled in to that. Doing everything I can to create a work-life balance that allows me to have a little fun every now and again.
I’m really good at
Taking part in heated discussions. Making people laugh. Making people smile. Pointing out the obvious flaws in the plans of evil geniuses. Providing constructive criticism. My friends would say that I'm really good at opening jars, reaching things on the top shelf and providing a sounding board when they need to bounce ideas off someone.
The first things people usually notice about me
People tend to notice my height. 6'2 is tall enough to notice. I'm also pretty loud. If you haven't seen me yet in a crowded room you'll probably be able to hear me. I'm working on it though. And I've got several visible tattoos.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
So many favorites. I read a ton of academic literature so my personal tastes lean toward easy to read fun novels. I read the Hunger Games books, they were cool. Read the Harry Potter books as an adult, they were cool. Read a lot of Stephen King. Read a lot of military history.
I like all kinds of movies. Love The Boondock Saints and Equilibrium. Really enjoy Pan's Labyrinth, Insidious, Hellboy, the Bond films. I like movies in general.
I don't watch much tv but really like Grimm and Scandal. I like The Walking Dead.
I love live music. Don't see as much as I'd like to though. I like punk, old school hip-hop. I like folk and bluegrass. Love the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty etc.
I love thai, indian and mexican food. I really enjoy a good steak every once in while. And I really like bourbon
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order:
My dog
A sense of humor
A good book
A pocket knife
Live music
A map (I'm always up for an adventure, but I like to know where I am)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
All kinds of random shit.
I spend way too much time thinking about how much I hate the Platypus. Stupid egg laying, poisonous talon having semi-amphibious mammal.

I think about how best I can approach my world in order to make sure I have a positive impact on it and not let it weigh me down.

I spend a lot of time thinking about where I'll travel to next. Traveling is my favorite thing in the world and I want to do more of it.

I think about whether or not all the time I've spent in University will ever really pay off.
On a typical Friday night I am
Going to the gym after work and then maybe out with co-workers. I'm not a big partier but I do enjoy the social atmosphere of it. I don't know many places locally to go out so I sort of tag along with them. But I'd like to go explore the city a little and am hoping to find someone willing to join me.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm scared of heights.
You should message me if
You're up for an adventure. Or even a beer.
You like dogs and want to meet mine.
You're looking for a lunch date or someone to see a movie with.
