I am "starting" two companies but now it's more like working in them.
One is Coffee+Comic thing - we commission art from comic book artists and screen print it on coffee bags full of FUCKING GREAT COFFEE.
I'm taking care of my friend's cat Hunx who licks my toes very seriously. (Update: I am now the official guardian of Hunx.)
Okay finished Farscape and Defiance and now Continuum (and now Travelers (and now Magicians)). Next Syfy original series I should watch? I was watching Limitless the show but it is so dumb. Like guilty pleasure dumb but then also usually just dumb.
Camomile tea is really amazing when you find a good one.
I finally broke down and started taking Vitamin D3 (the sun vitamin) and it made a huge difference. Probably placebo, and placebo works.
In a larger scope, I am in the very fortunate position to have worked with and for companies that I align with, and in a very real, and very small, but unfortunately hackneyed sense, make the world a tiny bit better place.
Currently making my way through X-Files if that helps anyone. We have to utter "it was a different time" occasionally.
Books. Ah. I've been reading "The Last Man" because well we promote comic book artists so I should probably be reading graphic novels. It's quite good.
"Tokyo Ghost" was okay. Tech vs. nature samurai anti-trump.
"Top 10" is great and unexpectedly queer.
Otherwise the last thing that did it for me was "Remainder" by Tom McCarthy. Blew my mind up.
Music: My friend put it pretty well recently. "When I was growing up I found it disappointing that adults didn't like my generation's music and so I vowed to keep an open mind to music. There was an unexpected consequence that I started liking and appreciating older and older and wider and wider music as I grew older; now there's not much I can't enjoy."
Movies: There was a time where I hadn't seen "Die Hard". That time is over. Watched three movies in a row recently: "Man Up" -> Lake Bell -> "In A World..." -> Geena Davis -> "A League of Their Own"
Shows: I already sort of showed my hand above. Sort of anything. Currently binge watching "Merlin". It's easy to understand. Maybe I'll give "Fleabag" a go soon but it was stressing me out.
Food: I eat the world.
A lot of "wouldn't it be great if..."
My ideas Trello board is hundreds of entries at this point. Mostly really stupid software projects.
To be honest and somewhat serious, I spend a ton of time thinking about my son, who has done turned three. His angelic blond curls and chubby cheeks and sensitive affect are the highlight of my life.
"It was so nice of you to pick me up today" I just can't even.
Merlin update: Merlin can speak telepathically.
Do you have a lead on good electronic music shows? Tell me.
Otherwise if you are kind and prefer to open bags with your canines and drink coffee and know how to survive a night in the forest and try (and try) to meditate and read weird shit... YEAH! Let's jump up and down excitedly for a moment.
