My self-summary
I'm...goofy, intelligent, crass, outgoing, capable of being introverted and extroverted depending on the moment, self-critical...but I generally feel I can handle my own. I endlessly wish I had more time to read, to hike, to bike, to explore, but I try to do the best with what I've got.

Recently I've been exploring my relationship to gender, as a cis-female who feels comfortable in her body but is totally stoked by the myriad of ways to exist beyond the gender binary. I'm exploring my identification of myself as queer (not just in my sexual tastes but the values I want to live my life by) and strive to further challenge myself to be an anti-racist advocate and feminist advocate.

I'm poly, and have a committed life partnership with someone who is not in Buffalo. I'm looking for relationships that are fairly casual but based on mutual respect.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm working in the cultural heritage field and loving it. I refuse to accept that I am a workaholic, but I have a ton of shit going on right now. That being said, I love having fun and exploring so many dimensions of Buffalo and beyond, and I like meeting new friends to explore with.
I’m really good at
identifying unnecessarily egotistical questions and backing away slowly.
The first things people usually notice about me
Unfortunately I'm not telepathic, so it's impossible to say.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This is the hardest section for me to fill out...[disclaimer: this is in no way a complete list]

Books: Just finished The Book Thief and bawled my effing eyes out. If On A Winter's Night a Traveler, East of Eden, Midnight's Children, Sex at Dawn, anything by Jonathan Letham, McSweeney's...etc! etc! etc! Just read The Sisters Brothers and loved it. I tend to get very engrossed in whatever I'm reading, and emerge dazed and confused at the end.

Movies: I'll admit, I know there are many good movies I should watch but haven't yet. I love Wayne's World, PCU, and Empire Records (what 90's girl doesn't?). Saturday mornings are the best when Jurassic Park is on. Alternatively, if you've seen F is for Fake and enjoyed it, message me.

Music: folky punky with an undercurrent of ska... in no particular order: the Pixies, the Breeders, Belle and Sebastian, the Beatles, the Cave Singers, Tallest Man on Earth, the Specials, A.C. Newman, Paul Simon, Led Zepplin, Neil Young...
Six things I could never do without
Once food, water, air, shelter and general comfort are taken care of: reasons to laugh, meaningful relationships with others, creativity and creative people, kindness, love and intimacy, the natural world, chocolate and coffee. I know that's seven, but life devoid of any of those thing would suck.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Art, history, societal structures, archives (haha), the lives of others, pop science, all the terrible things we're doing to the earth and others on it, all the wonderful things we're doing with the earth and others on it, sex.
On a typical Friday night I am
Home or not.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I smoke?
You should message me if
You're open-minded and honest. You like having fun and enjoying yourself. You're not manipulative.

Do NOT send me one're wasting your time and will get no response.
