My self-summary
Fit, athletic, leftist anarchist capitalist (does that make one libertarian?). Currently finishing up a master's in computer science. Into: cycling, surfing, social activism, traveling recklessly, new art, robotics, artificial intelligence, thrift shop books, and reducing my carbon footprint.

I've been thinking a lot about bicycles recently and how they can solve so many problems in the modern world. If everyone rode a bike to work or school when possible, (1) we would eliminate obesity, (2) end our reliance on fossil fuels, (3) end most wars in the Middle East, (4) massively reduce our carbon footprint as a nation, (5) be less fearful of climate change, (6) reduce the number of deaths caused by traffic accidents, (7) save money on gas, (8) enjoy riding a clean, non-polluting machine that is 99% efficient (cars are only 15-30% efficient). The bicycle is a marvel of human engineering.

These days I help run a cycling group that explores interesting parts of the city and beyond (no surprise here, eh?)

What I’m doing with my life
Challenging cop cars parked in the bike lane. Thinking about science.
I’m really good at
Paddling on a surfboard, maintaining neutral buoyancy underwater, making my Arduino blink.
The first things people usually notice about me
That they hadn't noticed me earlier.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a bit of a francophile and speak a little French. I really like "Les Trois Mousquetaires" and pretty much anything by Alexandre Dumas.

Whether I should regale the world with my large collection of duckface selfies.
On a typical Friday night I am
Enjoying a glass of wine with friends. Binging on Netflix.
