My self-summary
I adore books and love nothing more than relaxing outside and working my way through a novel or really anything with words and sentences.

Though these additions will not doubt lose me some matches I'm still going express them. I am liberal, and very left-leaning in social policies and economics. I support gay marriage and will be the first to attend ceremonies for some of my closest friends when they name the day. Not everyone is okay with this, and if you respect my beliefs I will respect yours. While it may not sound like it from this I am very nice and accepting person. I just don't think it's worthwhile wasting time.

I am obstinate, amusing, and optimistic
What I’m doing with my life
Working and adjusting to life in the big city. Please drop me a line with recommendations for places to go or things to do.
I’m really good at
Ugh. I'm not great at shameless self promotion. I'm good at talking with people. I can get along with just about anyone.
The first things people usually notice about me
I've never had anyone tell me that. Maybe I should guess? Okay I'll go with it and guess, my smile or hair maybe.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
When it comes to fun light reads, anything with paranormal creatures (Vampires, Werewolves, Spirits, etc.) as far as books. I enjoy classic literature as well: Twain, Austen, Bronte, I think Blake is my favorite poet ever. Many others besides these, but I won't bore you with the details.

Movies cover just about anything too. I enjoy documentaries quite a bit. I do like the rock 'em sock 'em summer blockbusters, but I enjoy "intellectual" films as well. I think most films like that just bank on being depressing and pseudo-intellectual though, which seriously bugs me. But I do enjoy smart well made movies. If you want more details ask, and I shall tell.

Music I'm pretty eclectic. I'll update this with folk music being my musical drug of choice. I adore Antje Duvekot, Passerine, and Emily Barker (both Red Clay and Vena Portae). I do enjoy Indie, Alternative, Some British Artists (Placebo, in particular), Classic Rock, not typically a fan of country but I'll make a couple exceptions, oh and lately I've been jonesing for Joan Jett love that chick.

Foodwise, its got to have flava. Yes, I went there, not flavor. I love Indian, Thai, Japanese (hibachi or sushi), Southern Soul Food.
The six things I could never do without
Books
Family (I know it's trite)
Music
My Health (What!? If you haven't got you're health you haven't got anything).
I like my movies but I could live without them (I have a very vivid imagination)
And I hate to say this, but my iphone (I thought it was broken recently and almost had palpitations, sad but true)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Oi vey, that's a heck of question. My life, people, things beyond my control (fruitless? yes, it is), why people are so unkind to one another, the fundamental similarities between everyone. The ususal.
On a typical Friday night I am
I might catch a movie or just stay in and read. Sometimes I might go out for a drink or something with friends. If I have to work the next day then hopefully I'm sleeping, but I can't promise that. I'm a night owl.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I can be kind of sensitive. Be nice to me and I'll be nice to you.
You should message me if
You want to?? Seriously lame ending question okcupid.
