My self-summary
I was born and raised in Pittsburgh. Being from Pittsburgh has shaped my life and I am a big fan of Pittsburgh sports.

As much as I love the city of Pittsburgh and all that goes with it, I also enjoy being able to travel and have been lucky enough to go to several places so far in my life. I've traveled to Denmark and Germany with my dad when I was a teenager, I sailed the Bahamas for 10 days, and I've been to Niagara Falls and Vancouver, BC in Canada. And yet, there are still many more places I would like to travel to.

I spend my time doing a wide variety of tĥings. some of my favorite hobbies are firearms, archery, hunting, and golf.

In undergraduate I majored in chemistry, with minors in physics and philosophy. Everyone always questions the philosophy minor with the other two, but they were some of the most interesting classes I had, with some of the best teachers.

After graduation I came back to Pittsburgh, worked for a couple companies, including PPG, before deciding to go back for my PhD in genetics.
What I’m doing with my life
I, like most people, am just trying to figure out how everything fits together. Sometimes it is a struggle to balance class work at Pitt, working as a valet and a social life; but, all good things require time and effort, and it is all worth it.

Beyond that, I am still trying to find all the treasures that Pittsburgh and the areas around it have to offer.
The first things people usually notice about me
Well, it would have to be my size. I have the build of a football linesman and I get all sorts of comments about it; especially while valeting cars. My coworkers thoroughly enjoy giving the smallest cars to the biggest guy (me).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
American Gods, Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit, The Prince, The Art of War, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and a variety of Star Wars novels. My favorite author has to be Neil Gaimen.

Iron Maiden, Sublime, The Doors, Citizen King, Eric Clapton, Billy Joel, 311, Kenny Chesney, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, but I enjoy most music from everything from country, to rock and metal, to reggae and some rap.

Star Wars, Boondock Saints, The Hangover, Dr. Stangelove, American History X, The Island, Dogma, The Matrix, Jurassic Park, and The Big Lebowski.

Dexter, Weeds, Spartacus, Futurama, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Top Gear UK, Seinfield, Breaking Bad, and White Collar.
Six things I could never do without
- A car. Love the freedom of being able to go anywhere at any time
- Family / Friends
- Music
- The outdoors
- Bodies of water. Whether it's an ocean, river, lake, or creek; I love being in and around water.
- Alcohol with good company.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The world around me and the worlds around the earth. I often find myself at night just looking up in the nights sky and thinking about the world and all the worlds around us and what could be there; and how everything came to be.
On a typical Friday night I am
Well, its hard to say. Fridays tend to change from week to week, whether it is a day at home, out with friends, traveling, or working.
The two of us
