My self-summary
**I just want to start off by saying that this is amazing, and I sincerely hope you think so too.
------> <------- **

photographer, traveler( <3 the west coast of the US, Italy, Switzerland, France, Iceland, Amsterdam, Peru, many more coming...), hockey player, appreciator/drinker of delicious beer, reader and pretty much religious follower of The Onion, philly-road-biker, enthusiast of jazz, hip-hop and hummus.

I like argyle socks and have way too many t-shirts.

I'm 34 years old and just started learning about coffee. Please be gentle...
What I’m doing with my life
I've got myself a mostly excellent job working for a photography/video/media company just outside of Philly(photoshopper, photographer, videographer, all-around master-of-funk, etc).

I do lots of other fun things too, like play ice hockey and when the fancy strikes me, I like to walk around and photograph inanimate objects.

Also living in West Philly, enjoying the cheap rent, Clark Park, wide tree-lined streets filled with gorgeous Victorian houses, and Fu-Wah. Always Fu-Wah.

I also work at every Flyers home game editing photos for immediate upload to a major image agency; as well as other Flyers-related photography gigs. It is pretty damn awesome, but it also makes for some long ass work-days for sure.

I’m really good at

>trivial pursuit, 90's edition.

>inserting people into photographs they weren't originally in.

>quoting Spaceballs

>narrowly escaping death every time i ride my bike in the city. it's fun, you all should try it some time.

>peeling clementines apart in just 1 piece. BOO-YAH!!!

The first things people usually notice about me
probably my gingerness, but since I don't have a soul, you can point and stare at me, it's all good.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
food - small sampling: green beans, rye bread, stir-frys, pineapple(especially on pizza), thai cuisine, milk, indian cuisine, orange juice, reese's peanut butter cups, broccoli, meat, honeycrisp apples, celery(it's crunchy water, people!!), non-meat, beans, raisinets, santa fe pizza from Varsity Pizza in west philly, honey roasted peanuts, chinese takeout, hummus, fresh locally-produced food(yay farmer's market across the street from me!).

music - interesting to look back on all of the music I've listened to in the past 10 years or so, every genre comes and goes in cycles of course; jazz though has always been there. I just love it! preferably in a live setting, but WRTI works just as well. aside from that, probably all kinds of stuff nobody else on here likes. I heart is internet radio at its best. a delicious blend of hip-hop, soul, and funk in healthy 2 hour long doses. so, so, good!!). but I can always listen to miles davis. NIN and tool are nice. as are the grateful dead and allman brothers. classical pieces work for me too. hip-hop from the 80's and early-mid 90's makes me happy. wu-tang clan is gritty, grimy, and forces uncontrollable head-bobbing. dragonforce is nice music to drive to. pink floyd; forever will be my love. & many many many many others I also classify as great. honestly, I haven't listened to any current music in a long time. I'd like to amend that sooner rather than later.

books -currently reading The Source by James Michener. Some pretty engaging and amazing storytelling...Suggestions for what's next? Other somewhat recent finishes include....In The Garden Of Beasts, Life Of Pi, The Omnivore's Dilemma, American Gods, A Thousand Splendid Suns, etc. Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole was another recent one; immediately became one of my all time faves. love Bill Bryson's wit and style. need more bookzzzz!! formerly read other works of non-fiction, fiction, horror/suspense, cultral anthropology, quantum theory, etc.

tv - cable-less, but at least I have Netflix(Portlandia, 30Rock, Breaking Bad, American Horror Story, House of Cards, etc), Jeopardy, entire dvd collections of both Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm(I'd like to think LD and I would be best friends in real life), the 3 Stooges at odd hours, and Simpsons seasons 4-10 on dvd. movies - Woody Allen. Mel Brooks. Kung-Fu. Nerdy Sci-Fi. B-Horror. John Candy. {{Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Ghostbusters(I), Back To The Future(I-III), Spaceballs}} = the movies I can and will watch over and over and over again and never get tired of. etc.
Six things I could never do without

>my bicycles

>late 60's-mid 70's Miles Davis albums("A Tribute To Jack Johnson" - yes,please.)

>delicious beer

>homer simpson slippers

>scrap paper

>some kind of device that takes photographs.

>WXPN's Funky Friday

>being able to count past 6

I spend a lot of time thinking about
--how many of us on this website have actually walked past each other on the street or interacted with each other in some kind of abstract fashion like that?? Philadelphia is a VERY small city sometimes...

--meeting a sloth. seriously.

--what's going to happen to Jeopardy if/when Alex Trebek dies?

--when given the choice between escalator and stairs...why do the stairs go practically unused...sad.

--when I'm going to take that epic journey to Norway?
and on that same vein, many other potential travel destinations.

On a typical Friday night I am
maybe I'm videotaping a high-school football game. or maybe I'm photographing a hockey game. or maybe I come home from work, take a nap, then go to a a bar of some sorts or a movie or a friends place. or maybe I'm passed out in a ditch in the middle of nowhere(not too typical, but hey, anything could happen).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
my favorite (summer) beer at the moment is fruit flavored. judge me all you want, but it's goddamn delicious!
You should message me if

>you like to drink good beer and listen to some live jazz - all at the same time. because...mmmmmm..that would be just perfect.

>or if you can spot(or hear) Larry David in Seinfeld episodes.

>or if you enjoy eating meals that require chopsticks.

>or if nice weather outside means you want to go and toss a frisbee around or go play mini-golf or go ride a bike or have a picnic or go for a hike or do anything besides NOTHING.

>or if the smell of a campfire is heavenly to you.

>or if you're on a mountain of some kind in any of your pics.

>or if you're a Flyers fan(or at the very least, a hockey fan)
