My self-summary
Getting reacquainted with Houston after a five year hiatus. Equal opportunity music consumer. I'm ambitious and intense in all things career related, but I'm probably best known for my smile and being laid back.

I love being outdoors and hope to someday hike the Pacific Crest Trail. Until then I'll be running around Hermann Park and the Rice loop.
What I’m doing with my life
I spend most of my time as a resident in the med center.

Otherwise I'm exploring Houston (and wherever else I can travel to), continually looking for new music, and learning how to cook.
I’m really good at
IDing samples in songs.
Telling unfortunate stories.
Hustling in pickup basketball.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Just a couple highlights-

Music: Right now I'm listening to Frank Ocean, Belle and Sebastian, Pavement, and the Hamilton soundtrack.

Podcasts: Cracked, Slate Culture Gabfest and Political Gabfest, Hardcore History

Books: Anything by Chuck Klosterman or Kurt Vonnegut, Catch-22, The Iliad, Norwegian Wood, The Autobiography of Malcolm X, Box Office Poison

Movies: Mostly into PT Anderson, Wes Anderson, Coen brothers, Tarantino and other stereotypically hipster stuff.

Not really into TV, but I've watched and enjoyed these in the past: Freaks and Geeks, Daria, Dr. Katz Professional Therapist, The Sopranos, Arrested Development, early The Office (US)
The six things I could never do without
- The outdoors - fresh air/cool water/clear skies/trees/etc
- Exercise - basketball, weight lifting, and running
- Noise-cancelling earbuds
- Greek yogurt
- Podcasts
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What music I should listen to next. What journal articles to print. Food.
On a typical Friday night I am
Relaxing with friends in a bar or on a patio. (Or stuck in a hospital.)
