My self-summary
I'm an INTJ who's quite gregarious. I'm into having deep conversations about stuff that matters with people who like the same.

I really seek out meaning and novelty in everything I do - so I like hanging out with people who are always thinking of new ideas and projects.

I'm very focused on trying to be a better person, and really trying to improve our world in a big way - from daily interactions to my long-term goals.

I'm pretty ambitious, but I think I'm still grounded.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm the founder / head of a robotic manufacturing company with the goal of democratizing the means of production - i.e. "How can we make hardware as easy as software?". Our answer uses a lot of math and robots. It's been a wild ride, and sort of childhood dream to have a fancy automated factory, so it's an amazing feeling to be building this.

That said, it pains me that our society doesn't give everyone such opportunities - I've had such luck and privilege to get here, so I also spend my free time thinking about how we can make a better society for everyone to live their dreams - actionably and in our time.
I’m really good at
- Building communities
- Creating / running events
- Fixing pretty much anything
- Endurance road trips
- Getting up early
- Rebuilding civilization from memory
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm pretty high energy and never seem "off" (people tell me).

Oh, and the long hair...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
+ Recent books I liked: Inventing the Future (Left Accelerationist), Anything by Manuel De Landa (1000 Years of Non-Linear History), Fukuyama's Origins/Political Order/Decay series, The Rise and Fall of American Growth.

+ For fiction I'm into dystopia: 1984, Brave New World, Clockwork Orange, etc.

+ Movies: The Aviator, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, V for Vendetta, The Matrix, Metropolis.

+ Music: I usually listen to Hip Hop, Nerdcore, Alt Hip hop, Classical (Dvorak!), Electronica, and whatever top 40s played during high school (let's keep that a secret).

+ Audio: RadioLab / On the Media / Planet Money / 99% Invisible

+ TV (laptop) Shows: The Daily Show, Connections, The Wire, Game of Thrones, Black Mirror, The Man in the High Castle, Crashcourse and The School of Life on YouTube. If you like this Edu-Porn, try: http://TopDocumentaryFilms.com

+ Food: I really like variety, so I'm down for all cuisines, with(out) meat, etc. I also love cocktails - drinking them, making them, and coming up with new ones. I think it combines my love of flavor/smell with my love of chemistry lab work.
Six things I could never do without
Well - these are what I like the most:
- Good conversation
- Good food
- Laptop
- Smartphone
- Car
- Meaning
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How can one person make the biggest impact for humanity?

Are we ever going to cure death?
On a typical Friday night I am
With friends, talking about the future and meeting the great people of the SF Bay Area.

At some cultural / social event
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
