My self-summary
I was born in New England, and moved down to Atlanta after college.

I'm big into DIY and very mechanically minded. I often will take something apart just to see how it works. Sometimes they go back together the right way.

I'm passionate about airplanes and aviation, and my pilot's license is something I am very proud of.
What I’m doing with my life
Experimenting in the kitchen. For a long time I kept a blog about making the burgers of the day from 'Bob's Burgers', and now it's a bestselling cookbook! http://www.thebobsburgerexperiment.com

Most days, I work as an engineer at a Japanese auto manufacturer and pretend to know a lot more Japanese than I do.

Some days I come up with huge projects I want to undertake. My loftiest is to design, build, and fly my own airplane across the country.
I’m really good at
Fixing things - or at least convincing friends I know how to fix things.
The first things people usually notice about me
I come up with weird catchphrases and I wear a lot of flannel.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books:
I made a goal to read one book every month in 2016. I'm not doing very well, and still reading 1Q84 from January...

Movies:
I could binge Wes Anderson and Sofia Coppola movies all day. Some of my other favorites are An Education, Drive, Moon, and Ex Machina.

Television:
Archer, Bobs Burgers, and a sucker for scifi.

Podcasts:
I have a long commute to and from work, so there are a lot of podcasts in my life: the Sporkful, Mbmbam, the Adventure Zone, and 99% Invisible are my current favorites.

Music:
Previous college DJ with pretty eclectic taste but I bounce between folk and electropop.

Food:
Clam chowder, lobster, and steamer clams. Mmm tastes like New England nostalgia.
The six things I could never do without
Comfy flannel, wooden spoons, paper maps, seltzer water, tiny notebooks, and felt tip pens.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My next food experiment: flavored ice cream cones.

I also really want to fly a two seater through the blue ridge mountains this summer... Ever been a copilot before?
On a typical Friday night I am
Having a few beers and playing lawn games with friends.
You should message me if
You have a passion in your life and you think we'd have fun together.
