I have been variously classified by others as an INTJ (MTBI if you know what that means), introverted, intellectual (and OK, I admit it - sometimes I've been called a smartarse).
From the Shania Twain song:
"OK, so you're a rocket scientist ..... that don't impress me much".
I actually think that I am a sensitive, intelligent, caring person who would never intentionally hurt someone's feelings (unless they had done something to me to deserve it of course!).
I am quite well educated - I have a decent degree (a "First") which I studied for in my spare time when in my thirties.
I am extremely well travelled. My job has involved business trips to 25 countries outside of the UK in the last 17 years and I've been to quite a few others beside these on my holidays.
I've read hundreds of books, and always take at least one book with me when I travel.
I am by no means an athlete (understatement) but have always been able to be at least adequate at any sport or game I have turned my hand to, including basketball, swimming, table tennis, cricket, rugby league, tenpin bowling, crown green bowling, snooker, pool and golf.
I once had a great compliment after playing a decent game of basketball when I was younger - "you know - you're even slower than you look!".
I don't really like beach holidays - I tend to get bored after about 10 minutes of lying in the sun and look for something interesting to do instead.
I am more likely to go walking around a new town, looking at the buildings and maybe checking out a museum or two.
Playing poker and golf
I'm different - I don't usually fit any of the boxes that people would like to try and put me in.
Movies - sci-fi, action or humour. My favourites include Blade Runner, Deep Impact, Contact, Terminator 2, Dirty Harry, The Life of Brian and Dogma.
TV - Only Connect, QI, University Challenge, Pointless, Mock the Week, many sports especially football, cricket and golf (but not horse racing or showjumping).
Shows - don't go the the theatre much, but love stand up comedy. Saw Peter Kay and Jonny Vegas before they were famous.
Music - a very eclectic mixture, but including a high proportion of classic rock and blues. Led Zep, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Jethro Tull etc
Food - vegetarian for a start. My favourite style is Indian, followed by Thai, Italian and then pretty much everything else (see my Body Type!).
A good book to read
Something to compete at
I just spend loads of time thinking.
You might like to meet me?
