My self-summary
Must love dogs and beards.

For most of my life i've been an insatiably curious person. Currently i would say i'm an gardening nut/ outdoor enthusiast with an odd ability to make something out of nothing. In the last 8 years I've worked as a baker of amazing breads, glass blower, cast bronze statues, researcher at a remote lab in the mountains and am NOW a traveling wind turbine technician. Still insatiably curious however now i have a job that actually pays the bills!

*This may come as a shock to some folks, but those of us who travel for work occasionally STILL want normal lives, with close friends and even a monogamous relationship. Currently saving up for a 20 acre hobby farm and tiny house (yes i have built them before) so long term roots are important!

I believe a persons life is best represented by the sum of their experiences. Elementary philosophy, i know. But simply put, as long as you are truly passionate about something in life, your ahead of the rest in my book even if your descriptions are lacking in eloquence. And yes, i think awkward geekiness is rather endearing. actually i'll go so far as to say if you dont have a shamelessly dorky side, we probably wont get along.
What I’m doing with my life
Constructing wind turbines!

Other then that i love to build things, practical or artistic. My main reason for going back to school for Wind Energy was to afford all the fun wood, meta, glass, ceramics, tools i need. Oh and save up for a farm with a tiny house. *something i'm building by late summer if all goes well
I’m really good at
I collect carnivorous plants and orchids so i guess you can say i am good at horticulture. Though this makes little sense to people in Colorado since you can smoke neither of them. *although Drosera rotundifolia is a native carnivorous plant of this state if you are also a geek and at all interested.

Have been working with wood since i was 15, glass and bronze since my first degree (Fine arts), and ceramics since a year ago January. I'm good at being a jack of all trades certainly!
The first things people usually notice about me
That my beard length varies with the season.... and its a bit ginger.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
best show ever, Firefly. For that matter anything directed by Joss Wheadon (Avengers, etc.) Its that fun mix of serious existential metaphor that is in most science fiction, combined with subtle humor that comes from characters not taking themselves too seriously. You know, real people.

For that matter my favorite all time author would be Kurt Vonnegut. So hard to not want a 'so it goes' tattoo...
Six things I could never do without
Swiss army knife
duct tape
all episodes of MacGuyver

its all anyone should ever need
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to make quality friends and truly enjoy my life. wait, is that is first non smartass answer??? yes. Passions and interests (referred to as 'hobbies' in the Midwest) i have plenty of and will spend the rest of my life: learning, creating, and exploring new things. Meeting the right people whom i want to enjoy that life with has been my biggest challenge.
On a typical Friday night I am
Blues or swing dancing.
Building a toboggan.
riding my bike with my dog, enjoying the river bicycle trail and stars.
There is no real 'typical' other then riding a bicycle is cheap entertainment and keeps my 110 lb dog from driving me crazy
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am introvert at heart that through sheer force of will has become more extroverted... yet, still wears his heart on his sleeve. If you are insecure about this i cannot help you.

So that is INFJ if you believe in Meyers Briggs, a Gemini if you believe in astrology. Either way, i'm hardworking, loyal to a serious fault, and have made plenty of mistakes in life. If you have not made a few, we wont get along.

anything else you want to know you're going to have to have the nerve to ask. *and reciprocate!!!

Oh.... and I spend the first 28 years of my life in Ohio and the last 7 trying to live that down
You should message me if are passionate about something not on TV take care of yourself (physically and mentally) are not an unforgiving perfectionist are not afraid to meet someone you would actually date. This ties in with vulnerability so lets just say "...if you do not fear vulnerability" All your achievements mean nothing if you are unwilling to open up and share them.
The two of us
