My self-summary
I am moving to Ashland in August to start grad school at SOU.

I play and teach music as much as possible and make lattes when not gigging and teaching.
What I’m doing with my life
Being a barista, teaching my middle school and high school percussion kids, pouring beer at Pigeon Head, and planning my move to Ashland for grad school.
I’m really good at
Teaching percussion

Loving on kitty cats

Doing Dishes

Knowing what makes me happy
The first things people usually notice about me
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: most recents include: The world in Six Songs, The Real Frank Zappa book, Musicophilia, 1000 recordings you need hear before you die, Check the Technique (a brief history of hip hop).

Movies: Haven't kept up on movies really. Show me one.

Music: Funk/soul, hardcore, punk rock, hip-hop, jazz, chamber ensembles, drum corps, world/ethnic musics.

Shows: Archer, documentary, musician biography, anything about food.
The six things I could never do without
- the opportunity for expression
- musical exploration
- new projects
- garlic, onions, mushrooms, and cheese (not necessarily together)
- affection
- my marimba
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I can further myself as a person, musician, and educator, and professional.
On a typical Friday night I am
Checking out/participating in some live music, sleeping for work the next day, cooking/relaxing at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I tear up at almost any well directed father/son moment.

I also really enjoy Antiques Roadshow.
You should message me if
You have an awesome dog, want to hear an instrument that is pretty amazing, want to experience good beer/food, or want to show me something that I should know about.
