My self-summary
My main things in life are doing intellectually challenging things and having a good time. I think curiosity is my main main thing though. I want to know how everything works.

While the best conversations I've had are ones that involve vulnerability and growth, these are rare. So most of the time, I enjoy talking ideas because that's what I get excited about. Big ideas, like, what's a good way for us to think about gender, and small ideas like what's the reason Late Night Slice is so successful. But whatever somebody else gets excited about is interesting too.

I go climbing and do yoga occasionally, go to museums and concerts and also do crossfit. Like most, I spend my weekdays mostly working. Work for me is doing mathy things, reading and writing and thinking about stuff like why do people make poor choices sometimes. I like it a lot.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm getting a PhD in quantitative psychology. It's a real thing. Promise. I can tell you more about it if you're interested.
I’m really good at
Not being scared of things. Palm reading. Using the word "effect" as a verb correctly. ANNNND everything else, especially modesty.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Food: BREAD! I love bread. Bread is the bread of life and the salt of the earth. Bread is very well bred.

I like lots of movies. Coen brothers, Aronofsky, weird indie films... Under the Skin might be my favorite of the year so far.

My recently favorite TV shows are You're the Worst and Rick and Morty, I also really like Twin Peaks, Always Sunny and a few others.

Music is an important thing in my life. Bands I like you might have heard of in increasing order of obscurity: Grouplove, Wilco, Joy Division, the Wrens, Wolf Parade, Lucius. Local bands: Modern Electric, Way Yes, Dew Droppers.

Books: Infinite Jest. The Corrections is my new favorite. Also recently liked Station Eleven
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How we're all a bunch of monkeys and what the 100,000 years ago equivalent of the task I'm currently doing is.
You should message me if
You've got a sense of humor about all of the things.

Basically, I'm pretty fun/creative/interesting/weird but I also got my shit together. If your soul is tortured, but like, in moderation, we'd probably get along.
